Article posted May 17, 2012 at 04:13 PM GMT • comment • Reads 273

I don’t recycle paper that I use. I take long showers, I sometimes throw away cans or I litter. I would say I’m not very good to the environment. I can start by putting cans and paper in the recycle, not throwing garbage on the ground and start to take shorter showers and save water.

How does excess CO2 effect the Earth

Article posted May 10, 2012 at 04:14 PM GMT • comment • Reads 90

Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. More than six and a half billion people burn fuel to keep warm. The burning of fuel produces carbon dioxide, which is released into the atmosphere. The problem with carbon dioxide is that it exists in excess, and it is starting to trap too much heat. The extra heat is trapped because of the growing number of greenhouse gases what leads to global warming and climate change.

Kevin Conway in his story Gaia: A Medical Report suggests two reasons the planet is in trouble. The first reason is because people are burning fossil fuels for machines and pollutes the air. Article posted March 30, 2012 at 08:04 PM GMT • comment • Reads 168

Grandma can get away with things like when she went fishing on private property and got away with it because the sheriff didn’t have proof. She can be sneaky when she was selling burgoo for 10 cents she charged the banker more, but she’s warm hearted as well. Grandma gave the money for burgoo to Ms. Abernathy. When there was a tornado her and Mary Alice walked around town and saw Old Man Nyquist pinned in his bedstead and got him out.

Tornado sirens went off when Mary Alice was in home ec, but she didn’t want to stay at school. She wanted to go home to see if grandma was alright. After the sirens stopped Mary Alice and grandma went walking through town and saw Old Man Nyquist’s house and the dog under his porch was gone, they went inside and saw Old Man Nyquist pinned under the bedstead. When they got him out of there, they went walking towards Mrs. Effie Wilcox, her privy was gone and grandma wondered if she was in it when it blew away, but she was in grandma’s privy all that time. When summer came around grandma wanted Mary Alice to go back to Chicago, but her door would always be open.

Spring comes before Summer.
Snow begins to melt & temperatures rise,
Flowers start to bloom,
Rains most of the time, & everything is muddy.

When I was around 4 years old, I played hockey till I was 11. I really enjoyed it but I had to quit since we moved most of the time. But other than playing hockey I'd go to the park or the lake in the summer time.

This one day, I took off to Prince Albert for a powwow without asking my mom. It was the worst thing I ever did. When I got back home, I got in so much trouble it wasn’t even funny, but now I learned my lesson to not do it again.
