Holidays!!

In the holidays I didn't really do much, but for most of the first week I was sick with a cold so I mostly just stayed at home and watched a few DVD's. It wasn't a very good start to the holidays.
I also got hives from eating too much fruit and went to the doctors and got some cream and some medicine to help it get better.
In the second week of the holidays I did quite alot of gardening. I planted some flowers near the front door and I also cut a few plants because it was quite bushy.
Near the end of the second week I hurt my kneee and went to the doctors again. I bruised the inside of my knee. Luckily it wasn't that bad and got better the next day.
I didn't have the best holidays and had to go to the doctors twice, but hopefully the next holidays are more exciting.

Speeches.

Recently wehave been doing speeches in class. I did my speech about movies, because I like movies and I wanted to research more about them. When I had to do my speech in front of the class I felt very nervous but I just wanted to get it over and done with. If I could do anything differently next time, that would be to talk more slowly because when I get nervous I talk too fast. I think that it is quite a good idea to do speeches at school because it can help us in some ways, for example, it kind of helps us with our research skills and confidence, another thing is that we will probably do more speeches in the future so it is good practise.

Rick has a disability called cerabal palsy.It is a disability where he loses the ability to walk or talk.He has to stay in a wheelchair.and can only only use his his computer with special software to communicate with other people.
I think that Rick is very intelligent and atheletic, Even though he has a disability.He is just like us as a person because but the only difference is that he can't talk or walk.

I am doing a book review on the Dear Dumb Diary series.
Title: Dear Dumb Diary
Author:Jim Benton
Year of publication:From the books I have read so far they were published in 2004 and 2005.
Number of pages:95-148 pages
Rating out of 10:a solid 9
Genre:comedy
Appropriate age group:7-12 years old
A summary of the series:
The books are actually the main charcter, Jamie kelly's diary.The series is basically about Jamie writing about what had happened in school and just stuff diaries usually have written in them but there is a twist.
My opinion of the books:
I think that the Dear Dumb Diary series are very humourus.It has alot of cool and crazy illustrations so it won't take you that much time to read it.I've really enjoyed the books that I have read so far from that series.
If you can,I definately reccomend you read these books.

4:Never do anything ever.
5:Can adults become human.

In room 2 we were told to do a power point about “Explorers in the Pacific”. We had to choose an explorer that explored the pacific and my group chose Abel Tasman.
1. In the info link process I found that the researching part was hard because I couldn’t find much information about Abel Tasman. Another thing I found hard was finding pictures because they were all the same and sometimes there were different pictures of different people that had nothing to do with that topic.
2. I learnt that you have to write specific key words other wise you would get information about something totally different. It was definitely harder than I thought.
3. I learnt that it would be quite hard to be an explorer. You have to be intelligent and brave to be able to do such a thing.
4. I think my group and I worked really well together. We all did our part and did a good job.
5. I thought that our presentation went really well. We did presented it well and I am happy with how it went. But some of it, it was a bit hard to read.

When it comes to chocolate and ice cream New Zealanders just love it.Especially when the brand is Cadbury.
Cadbury is still the number 1 trusted chocolate company for the fourth year in a row.Second place is Tip Top.
Fisher and Paykel ranked third equal with Sanitariumin in the NZ list making it the most trusted whiteware company.Another thing is that Panadol,at sixth place has won the top spot in the health and wellbeing category.
Mean while toyota ranking in twelth place is the most trusted car maker and cell phone brand, Nokia is sharing fourteenth place with NZ post,making it the most trusted retailer.Subway (ranked 23)was the most trusted fast food place.Following that air NZ has the top spot as the most favourate air line.
