Get out of the house

My skeleton plot writing sample.

An old and crumbly, worn out and grey Victorian hall is up for sale. No one knows but it has a staff of ghosts also including a nice butler and some other amazing ghost servants. The unhappy, glum ghosts can’t leave the rusty hall.

It is very important that every single ghost in the grey hall likes the new owners. If they have to share ‘their’ crumbly hall, they feel they have to say who will move into the ugly hall but a series of nice and mean people visited the hall and most of the people wanted to buy the cobwebbed and rusty, old and ugly hall. First was the Draft family. Terrified, petrified, horrified they ran back to their home. Next a head teacher of a school comes and haves a look at the hall they also frighten her off, this time in a different way.

Finally a young couple visits the crumbly, worn-out hall. The ghost try to scare the young nice couple off but they weren’t scared a little bit. They were not scared of what horrifying things the ghosts do. Eventually they say “Can we be friends with you” The young couple answer “sure!” They buy the cobwebbed hall. The happy excited ghosts take on their old jobs and help the nice young couple live happily in their brand new home!

Phantom Coach

Article posted June 27, 2010 at 10:38 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 204

I am going to tell you a story and I know it’s true. It happened around about 20 years ago, in 1887. I have never told anyone this before. I was walking when I suddenly became lost. Then it began to snow heavily in the dark grassy field. I knew in my mind I would not survive a night in the freezing snow. A light appeared. I started heading toward the sparkling, bright light. When I got to the bright, old, spooky apartment the owners give me food, a drinks and shelter.

The owner of this spooky apartment was very weird and strange. He told me a horrifying story that happened exactly tonight but three years earlier. He told me an old mail coach had been travelling in a giant snow storm and black horses had slipped and the mail coach toppled over and fell down a fifty metre cliff. That night two drivers and the four men died. The weather seemed a pinch better so I decided to set off again. The owners of the apartment told me that I would meet tonight’s mail coach if I set off around about now and to meet the mail coach you need to walk past the cliff and onto the crossroads. I will take you an hour and the mail will stop there and give you a ride.

I set off once again. I was very frightened and felt little strange. I really lost track of time as it became darker and darker and I was really surprised when I heard the mail coach coming slowly behind me. The cabin began to stop and the nice drivers nodded when I asked, “Could I have a lift.” I climbed up onto the small set of metal steps and I hopped into the medium sized cabin although it was dark and I could just see there were three mail coaches were inside. I tried to make little conversation but, they just wouldn’t talk.

I realised that something was really wrong with the coach and the three men inside. I tried to get out, but I couldn’t. Then I heard screaming like someone was getting chased by a ghost. It also felt I was flying through mid-air then slowly passed out. I woke up two days later in my warm, cosy bed in my bright blue room. I had been found in a snow drift exactly where the coach had crashed three years ago and nothing else was found there. What had happened?

The Scarecrow

Article posted June 22, 2010 at 11:02 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 212

A small family called the Noun family were renting a cottage just out of beautiful Auckland. The lovely cottage was in a little village called Bennydale. The little brick cottage had 3 rooms and it had some amazing views and a giant garden.
Right next door there was a nice family called the Pronoun family. They had a paddock and in the paddock was a giant, creepy scarecrow. It had a straw hat full of strawberries, dry old vest and long, black ugly pants. The creepiest part about this scarecrow was the eyes, it’s evil red eyes.
The oldest child Dee had to sleep in the creepiest part of the house downstairs. Dee really didn’t really want to sleep downstairs, inside she felt like she was sleeping in a dark, spooky dungeon. Dee was feeling TERRIFIED!
The next morning Dee wakes up and her family was out for some reason. Dee thinks their buying food. Dee was in the sparkling kitchen when she hears a bip, it was the phone. She answers it quietly but could only hear light breathing. Dee hangs up. Terrified, horrified, petrified Dee starts to think someone is watching her.
Dee peers outside. The ugly, giant scarecrow was gone. Confused Dee turns on the TV. It was crackly because it was old and worn out. Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door. She races to the kitchen window and looks outside. There was no-one there.
Dee tries to ring her mother’s mobile. It rings in her mum and dad’s room. Dee runs upstairs into the bedroom. The ugly scarecrow was staring out the clear window. Dee is absolutely scared. Dee’s mum’s mobile rings again. This time she answers it. But all Dee could hear was loud hysterical laughing.
