Video Games

I really like playing video games. I play Wii. Of course there are some games I don’t like. I don’t like wars games and boring games like Bob the Builder or Barney .I like the adventure games.

I like playing video games because every once in a while new game comes which is much cooler each time .There can be cooler moves. Or can have more stages that are harder and challenging. And have a better cyber adventure.

I also like playing video games because time pasts fast whenever you play .You can play for hours but you’d feel like it’s just been a few seconds. If you’re waiting for something or someone play video games .Or if you‘re waiting for dinner just turn on your console.

The last reason is because it’s fun. Having a cyber-adventure is always fun .If you’re bored play video games. It won’t hurt you.

I like playing video games because new games always come, time past fast, and it’s fun.

Coronary Artery Disease: Slow Heartbeat

Article posted May 23, 2012 at 02:04 PM GMT+2 • comment • Reads 309

Many people contract coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease is the clogging of coronary arteries .People who have it will die from it. It is very deadly so you have to watch out for what you eat and how much you weigh.

Job

Once you get it you’ll have to change to a healthy lifestyle. I am a cardiologist; a doctor for the cardiovascular system. My name is Mohammed al Najem, MD. When someone has a problem with their heart, vessels, or blood, I’m there to treat them. Sometimes I can’t cure a problem but maybe I can slow it down. And then again maybe it’s too late.

System

The cardiovascular system consists of heart, vessels, and blood. The job of the cardiovascular system is to transport oxygen and nutrients throughout the body. The job of the heart is to move the blood around the body. The vessels are the road for the blood. And the blood has little blood cells that carry and drop them off at your limbs or head. When the heart functions it needs blood. So it gets the energy from the coronary arteries which around the heart.

Did you know if you have Coronary Artery disease it’s best to ask your doctor to give you a blood measurement every two years?

Symptoms

When someone has a coronary artery disease, they develop chest pain. They would also get a heart attack, since your coronary arteries are clogged. A heart attack occurs quickly, but the causes that lead to clogged arteries develop very slowly.

Did you know that you can be born with Coronary Artery disease if a close relative had it?

Coronary artery disease affects the cardiovascular system by slowing down the heartbeat. And the heart is a very important organ. Coronary artery disease will slow down the heartbeat because the coronary arteries will get clogged and the heart won’t get much power to pump the blood. It is common to people who smoke daily and eat too much junk food.

Did you know you can get Coronary Artery disease by eating from McDonald’s?

Causes

You can get coronary artery disease in many ways. You get it from; smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and radiation therapy for the chest, fat, or develop over decades. Risk factors are:

Age: getting older increases your risk of narrowed arteries.

Men are generally at greater risk of coronary artery disease.

Preventions

There are many ways to prevent coronary artery disease or alleviate the disease. Treatments are:

Quit smoking, control blood pressure, exercise, eat healthy, and manage stress, healthy weight.

Conclusion

Coronary artery disease can kill you. Since there are known causes and preventions the victims could be saved. To maintain a healthy lifestyle is the best cure. In the future I hope people will maintain a healthy lifestyle and reduce the risk of coronary artery disease.

The Day I Had the Flu

An Assisted Personal Narrative Written by Mohammed © October 2011

Once when I was in second grade it was Friday a weekend. I started to play with my pet turtle I put it back in its tank and then washed my hands but I didn’t wash them right because I was still young and didn’t know how to wash right then I started to feel dizzy, disgusted, and couldn’t stand up. And after that I told my mom I didn’t feel good and she had to take me to the hospital. We had to go with my aunt because she was taking my cousin to the hospital too. I started to get scared and feel cold. I wanted to stay home at my grandma’s house; we didn’t live in our real house because my dad was at a resort with his friends just for a few days .It was finally time to get in to the doctor’s office. I was nervous.

When I got in the doctor’s office with my mom the doctor said,” Hello, how may I help you? ” My mom said,” My son is sick and he’s been feeling weak today. ” The doctor took his stethoscope and started testing my breathing, and then he got one of those sticks –the ones that you hold popsicles with- and I opened my mouth. After that he said “Your son has to sleep in this building.” I was shocked my mom said “Are you fine with sleeping here?” No of course not I thought so then I thought again once I get to the room I need to rest to get out of this prisonlike building or else I’m going to eat not delicious food for two weeks.

But it wasn’t I was so sick I had to sleep in the hospital. When my mom took me to my room I sat in bed immediately. My mom was worried and then she called my aunt and told her to back home with my cousin. My cousin was didn’t get why I had to sleep in the hospital. And I was sweating and wondering what was going to happen to me. My heart was beating fast. I was curious what was going on in me. I could tell the doctor would come in with an injection in his hand and give me a shot. And I was scared of shots I didn’t like them ever since nursery. I wished I wasn’t even sick in the first place. Then my mom told me my dad was coming to see me. I was eager to see him, but it took quite a while and then I started to wonder how big this building was, because he didn’t come early.

My mom took me to the emergency room so the doctor can give me a shot. When the doctor finished my dad finally came but it was late so I had to sleep. I learned to always be careful when I washed my hands.

The Great Camping Trip

Article posted October 13, 2011 at 10:00 AM GMT+2 • comment (1) • Reads 826

When I woke up on Monday morning I was excited to go on the trip. So I packed my things and went to school. When we arrived at the camping ground Mr. Wisam showed us how to pitch up our tents. When we pitched up our tents we went for a game of catch the flag, and then I was trying to catch grasshoppers. We played games and had fun putting face paint before we went on the hike. Walking across the mountain was exhausting. At night we made a campfire and gathered around to listen to an amazing story. After that we finally went to sleep and next morning we went home. What an amazing trip it was!
