The Superior Public Library

We went to the Superior Public Library. We looked at some paintings. My favorite paintings are these.1.is called a man named Frank Lemieux. Frank Lemieux is delivering mail by dog train. I like it because of the dogs and because it’s snowing.2.The old library. I like it because I love books and because of the cool cars.3.Both Worlds. I like it because of the moccacins, beds couth, copper, snow shoes, and food.

We had a guest speaker come.
[He was Ojibwa.]

How the Ojibwa lived.
The Ojibwa lived in wigwams and log houses. They had to live on Nature. They had to pick berries and hunt for meat. In the winter they lived in the log houses.

We made necklaces.
Step1. First we put on the feather. Step2.We put on the gold beads.Step3.We put on the red beads and we kept doing it over and over and over and over until you’re done.

What they hunted.
The men hunted the meat. They hunted deer, wolf, muskrat, bear, bobcat, and link.

What they made.
The girls made the cloths out of leather. The girls made the bowls, cups, and baskets.

Pine City

My favorite part was when we played a game. The point of the game was to get the most food.

Trading Post
We learned how the voyagers lived. We got into groups and I was in the bear group. We made a sack of fire!

Wigwams

Wigwams are the things that the Ojibwe people lived in. The wigwams are made out of birch bark and gum.

What they ate
The Ojibwe people ate meat and vegetables and fruit and wild rice.

What they traded
They traded felt, guns, medle, and gun powder all for furs. WOW=http://

Hopes and Dreams

I wish there would have an outside all day. I wish we can have a wacky face day.
I wish that we could have science and explode stuff. I wish that we could have a
Pizza party. Last but least I wish that we can have a church day.
