The first thing we did was snowshoeing. We had to find scat. It was gross. Do you know what that is? Scat is poop. Gross isn’t it? Snow shoeing was so fun. I fell a couple times but it was still fun. Then it was lunch. I had a big lunch. It was good. Then we went on a trail. It leads to Canada it had a fort we played a game. It was so cool You had to take temperatures. You also had to hide a mouse… kidding u had to hide mouse blood. It was so fun it was wered to. We had to find tracks on the trail. Then we had to go home.

At the Tweed Museum I saw some Indian cradle boards. And some little and big moccasins. At the superior and we saw big paintings. I liked a city hall one. And a football one. They all were so cool. I liked eating on the bus too. It was cool. Young Dick Bong was working on a farm. He saw a plane in the sky. So he wanted to be a person who wants to save people. He saw a mountain he made sure there were no people under his plane. There were no people under him so he jumped out of the plane and the parashute but he died.

Mr. Peel showed us skins of animals. They were so cool. Then he told us a story it went a little like this. He had a uncle. There was an out house he herd a noise. It sounded like a bear. So he went in the outhouse and there was the bear. He shuck and shuck. Then it became quiet. Then he opened the door just a little bit. Then it shuck again. He opened the door again and his uncle was sitting there laughing on the step. He tried to open the cabin door and his wife was standing there she wouldn’t let him in. So then he had to take a sponge bath. With lots and lots of bukets of water. He showed us axe’s. It was so fun. We made nekloses. He told us how to make wild rice. Step 1, get a boat and nock the rice in the boat. Step 2, stir it and the girls danced on the wild rice. Step 3, the mom’s shake it in the air. The babies use cradle boards for the babies so the mom’s can do what there doing. They are made of wood.

My favorite part of the Trading post is when we went in the actual Trading post it was so cool. It had bunkbeds made of wood and blankets made of fur.
The Voyageurs and Ojibway gathered food in the Winter, Spring, Summer, and fall.
There was a wigwam. Inside of it was like so cool!!
We played a game from back then and it was made of wood. There were blocks the meaning meat was brown, green was garden, and blue was fish.
We made saca fu bags. This means sack of fire. They used the bags to keep their flint and steel. The flint and steel made sparks. the things they made it with was string, flint, steel, and burnt clothing to catch the sparks in and then blow on it. Then it will start a big fire. It was so cool.
There was maple sugar to make. There were trees. Then they had buckets and a little thing that you stick in the tree.

Hopes and dreams. I hope we have cursive writing in 3rd grade. Even a Halloween party, that would be awesome. And Science too with exploding stuff that’s cool. I love Science. Science is fun. I hope we can have an Ice cream float party. Oh, I forgot pajama day with pancakes that would be cool. Field trips too. Well that’s my hopes and dreams.
