Mr. Peel told us about Ojibwe history and we made necklaces. The necklaces have a bird feather. It has gold and red beads. The necklace has a bone. It was fun and cool. Mr. Peel told us about making fires with a magnifying glass. Someone found a hide with a picture story on it. He told us the story. He was in the air force for 25 years.

We went to Superior Public Library to see some murals. There were 35 of them. The one I liked was the one with the trading post. It had guns and pots. It had bead and corn. It looked like a big shop. I liked the Tweed Museum because it had a picture of the President of the United States. I liked the 3 Hunters and the Bear constellation story.

My favorite thing was the trading post .That’s where they traded in. It had bunk beds. The wigwam had 5 beds and a cradleboard. We made sacafus . That means sack of fire. I learned how to get the food. We got to go into a trading post and we saw the river where the Voyageurs brought the furs. The trading post is where they could buy stuff, like guns and powder, metal traps, knives and food. We had fun on the trip.

Hopes and dreams
I hope we have a pajama day. I want to learn science in 3rd grade. I want to have a pizza party. A root beer float party. I want to eat pancakes.
