Pioneer diary September 20th 1848
Dear diary,
We took the burial grounds trail. I think it was a bad idea. The rest of my wagon train thinks it was a bad idea to. Here are the names of the people in my train: John Adams, Joseph Black, Roger Eller, Pat Richards (me), Beryl Smith. Our wheels are made of greenwood so they fell off. John’s wife is having a baby. A few weeks ago Joseph got bit by a scorpion. We are crossing Indian grounds. 2 months ago we were in prairie wells. We had to pay for the water because of a drought. I think my cow is not going to make it. We had to 200 pounds of stuff to get of the trail faster. Joe and I are thinking of going hunting. I forgot to say this: we only went on the burial ground trail because it was shorter. I think the youngest child won’t make it.

3 weeks ago I had my apendix out.It all started when I got a stomach ache.I thru up 4 times! We were comeing back from Millwaukee.I felt really bad.When we got home my mum & dad called a nurse.Then we went to SMDC.( St. Mary,s Duluth Clinic)They then put a I.V in me.Then I had to drink a terrible tasting medicene before I had a cat skan. I also thru up while having it,And finaly at 3:15 am I had my surgery.They put a drug in my arm which made my head all stuffy.Then I had a oxegen mask put on me,And that is all I remember.When I woke up I was in my very own room.I got to play video games a lot.Before I left I had a flu shot.I then left the hospital on Sunday at 12:00 pm. The Rain Forest
The canopy it is leafy up here. It is the upper parts of the trees.
Insects, birds, reptiles and mammals live here.
The Under story is a dark cold middle level of the rain forest.
It is under the leaves but over the ground.
The Forest floor has lots of animal life. The largest animals live here.
Many types of insects are here.

The three toed sloth is a nocturnal animal .It sleeps for 15 hours a day .They are brown & slightly green .They are 2 feet long .Is a herbivore. Predators: jaguar, harpy eagle. They eat fruit, young shoots and leaves. It spends its entire life hanging in the trees.

The Anaconda (water boa)
Is the biggest snake in the world. They are cold-blooded. The longest one ever found was 37.5 feet long! It has no fangs. They never stop growing. It is a carnivore. They eat deer, caiman and rodents. They are reptiles.

I hope I could be a better at drawing than the art teacher. I want to go to the school picnic. I hope I could ride a dirt bike. I wish I could play football. I want to finish Harry Potter. I wish I can go to Chicago. I hope I could join boy scouts.
