August 20,1848
Dear Diary,
I took the burial ground trail. It was a bad idea to go on the burial ground. I got a scorpion in my shoe and got bite on my foot. We can’t get water because it is dirty and we might get sick. I lost one of my cows and John Adams lost his goat and Pat Richards lost his horse and Roger Eller lost his cow. I have to give 200 ponds of my stuff away so we can move faster. I only have a hatchet and 2 hammers I have no food or water. The native Americans might attack because we are on their grounds. We took the burial grounds because it is shorter. I might die because I have no food and my oxen might die.

The falcon lives near mountains in north America. It’s the fastest bird it can fly 90 mph. the male is 15 inches and the female is 3 inches long. It hunts during the day.
The camel has two humps. Its life span is 40 years. It can go with out water 3 or 4 days. camels are strong They have padded feet. Its 7 feet tall. It weigh about 1600 pounds.
The desert can get up to 113 degrees. At night the desert can get down to 32 degrees. The desert gets often rain little wind. Large rocky mountains and a lot of cactuses.

I wish I could get a crayfish. And go on field trips. When I am 9 I wish I get a lot of presents. I wish I would win my last football game. And I hope I get 100 on every test. I hope I don’t get detention. I hope we have lots of parties.
