In reading, we are learning about ancient Egypt. The students have each been assigned to a nome, and a rank of either noble, merchant, scribe, or artisan. Each nome read information about their nome's symbols, beliefs, and favored gods. This week, the nomes are working on designing a standard for their nome. As they travel the length of the Nile River, the nomes will earn points for each task they successfully complete. Their goal is to earn 4,135 points, one point for each mile of the Nile River.

Finally, after six weeks of school, we had our first chance to go to the computer lab to set up our blogs. FAIR testing and internet problems kept us from starting our blogs before now. We learned how to change the colors of our personal blog pages, and we got to write our first articles. It was exciting to see our words published on the internet for the first time!
