Expand the Blog

Article posted February 9, 2010 at 04:04 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 21

Blogs can be used for a variety of purposes. We intend to use this blog to expand the conversation beyond what we have time to fit into our school day. Help fellow students (and teachers) to learn more about you. Create a blog entry (or three separate ones might be better!) responding to the following questions/comments: 1. Tell us about your commute! Many of you have to spend A LOT more time on a bus than you have at any previous time in your school experience. Tell us the good, the bad and the gossip! 2. Express your opinions on how things are going in Computer Applications class. What do you like? What do you dislike? What would you change if you were in charge? 3. Express your opinions on how things are going at AAHS. For most of you it is a very different situation than you have experienced in previous years. What do you like? What do you dislike? What would you change if you were in charge? Try to respond as soon as you can, so people can begin to share experiences. As fellow students begin to post responses, explore posting comments back to them. Make the comments 'meaty', meaning put some thought into it and don't just do a "Yeah, what she said!" Post your three answers by February 15 @ 10:00PM.

Get the ball rolling!

Article posted January 29, 2010 at 02:02 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 3642

Hello and welcome. This side of the blog will be used for members of the Computer Applications courses for Semester 2 to share ideas, react to classroom discussions and respond to each other's thoughts. These blogs are a part of SCHOOL, so we'll want to see use of proper punctuation, capitalization and grammar. To "Get the ball rolling...", over the past few days we've been talking about blogs, wikis, podcasts and a variety of related issues. Use this entry to address a few goals: 1. Describe any experiences you've had with blogging or if the whole concept is new to you, write a paragraph about your initial reaction to this world that you never knew existed. Preliminary deadline: Wednesday, 02/03/2010 10:00PM. (NOTE: Blog deadlines are NOT as strict as other deadlines) Thanks. M
