Friday Night!

Article posted January 27, 2006 at 11:57 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 665

Hi!
Tonight I am going over to my friend Tiffany's house with my other friends Shyla, Elaine, and Katie. Our New Years resolution was to eat healthier foods. We are going to have salad, cheese, pickles, and cubasaw, fruit and vegetables, and frozen fruit smoothies. We might watch a movie or go to the Youth Center. It depends. If we go to the Youth Center we are going to get all ready with jewlery, make-up, and perfume. It's going to be MAJOR fun!

Hi!
On January 31st,2006 we write our first exam. It is in Social Studies. I am scared out of my mind. I really hope I do well on them, but I have to study REALLY hard this week so I can learn everything I need to know. Mr.Fisher gave us reviews of what we need to know and there is A LOT of information we need to learn. My Mom always tells me to study and try your best and there is nothing more you can do. That always makes me feel better. We write Math on the 1st, Science on the 2nd, and E.L.A on the 3rd. I can't wait until the 4th they will finally be OVER!!
Anyways, wish me luck!!!

Supply-Chaining

Article posted January 19, 2006 at 03:55 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 382

Hi!
We are recently learning about Flattners in class. My Flattner is Supply-Chaining. Supply-Chaining is a worldwide store chain that micromanages its business down to the very last details, usually using computer systems. The main computer is automatically updated and tells the factory that made the item to immediatly begin making another one of those itmes.
Supply-Chaining is important because if we didn't have it everything that was really popular and sold out fast wouldn't be able to be re- supplied. Supply-Chaining is also important for our needs, such as food and drink. If there was no supply-chaining we would soon run out of food and drink and wouldn't be able to eat or drink and soon would die off.
This is what I have learned about Supply-Chaining and why it is important.

My Christmas!

Article posted January 17, 2006 at 04:24 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 401

Hi!
My Christmas was very good. I got everything that was on my wishlist. I got a new phone, a furry moon chair, TONS of perfume, pillows with my initials, bubbling manicure set, daughters pride ring, and much, much more. I spent Christmas Eve, Christmas, and Boxing Day with my whole family. We played outdoor hockey and cards. We also went sliding and for many walks. We had big suppers and everyone was groaning because they were so full! There was also a lot of tasty deserts. That is what I got for Christmas and how I spent my Christmas.

Top Stories for the year 2005!

Article posted December 14, 2005 at 12:21 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 274

Hi!
For this blog article I am writing about the top stories for 2005. I chose to do mine on Arts and Entertainment and Science and Technology.
Arts and Entertainment:
The T.V. show "My Name is Earl" is said to be a buzz and just came out this year. It was rated a 4.41 out of a possible 5 by television channels such as NBC,CBS, and ABC. It bested all 31 of the new television shows that came out this year. The majority of viewers had nothing negitive to say about the show and if they did have something negitive to say about it it would have to be all the "redneck" humour. The viewers say there hasn't been a bad episode yet and most are laugh-out -loud funny! Viewers also say that Star Jason Lee is funny in everything he does. Viewers expectations were exceeded and most of them became interested in the show. I love this show. It is absoulutley hilarious and I love to cuddle up with and blanket and watch this show in the evenings. Check it out sometime, I am opened to everyone's opinions.
Science and Technology:
The best story of Science and Technology is when I read about the Intel Ultra-Fashionable Laptop. I wrote an article on it already, but I believe it is the best thing that is gonna come out. Intel doesn't know when they will be hitting the shelves though. They will be ultra fashionable just like cell phones and MP3 players. These laptops will have suede intregrated into the casing! These stylish laptops were made just for us gals!!! All those pretty colours will be sure to catch our eye. Most people like to have a laptop that reflects their sense of style and when they glance at someone else's laptop most times they are checking out the design and colour.
These are my top storie for the year 2005!
Thanks for Reading!

Character Sketches

Article posted December 13, 2005 at 03:16 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 306

Hi!
In class we are working on Character sketches. No, character sketches is not sketching out what the character is. It is finding a physical description and emotional description. Physical description is where you write out the charateristics of the character. Emotional description is when you write out emotions of the character. Then you combine the 2 and write out your good copy in paragraph form. We read the story "The Veldt" written by Ray Bradbury and I did my character sketch on the 2 characters Peter and Wendy. They were the children of George and Lydia in the story. They were disrespectful, spoiled, and angry. Ray Bradbury didn't tell us much about the characteristics of them though. He told us the age, they were smart, and that they were small.

Intel Ultra- Fasionable Laptop

Article posted December 9, 2005 at 05:00 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 316

Hi!
Like cell phones and MP3 players laptops are finally coming out in the fashion department. Sony relized that if they through some pretty colours on a laptop in would catch a lady's eye. Intel has partnered with Toray to create the Ultrasuede laptop. Not only are these concept systems in colour, but real live fake suede will be intergated into the casing. Intel doesn't know when these Ultra-Fashionable laptops will be hitting the shelves, but a gal can dream, can't she?

Products from the Future

Article posted December 7, 2005 at 05:19 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 267

Hi!
We are doing a project on products in the future. I am doing my project on Engraved Cell Phone Bracelets. We had to research the past and then show Mr.Fisher the difference from the past to now. Then we had to do a cover page for our booklet, if we wanted to. We also had to do a written page on the past of the product and what it will be like in the future. We had to do 3 diagrams. One of them is called a scale diagram where you had to draw your picture and put the scale to how big or little your product actually is. I drew mine regular sized because I am doing a bracelet. Another is called the Medici affect diagram. You had to draw arrows coming in to show all the different and new things that had been added to the product. The last one is a feature diagram. You had to draw it like you were selling the product. You can also have extra things such as a timeline, ads, and table of contents.

Christmas Time!!!

Article posted December 2, 2005 at 09:21 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 288

Hi!
Christmas is just around the corner. I would like a new phone for my room, "Fantasy" perfume by Britney Spears, a furry moon chair in the colour pink, and a daughter's pride ring. I was wondering what all of you out there would like? We already have our tree up and decorated with presents under it. We also are starting our Christmas baking soon. My favourite treat that Mom puts out would be Nuts & Bolts. What are your favourite Christmas treats that your Moms put out? I am also playing 2 Christmas songs on the piano. I am playing "The Twelve Days of Christmas" and "Jingle Bells." I wish all of you out there a "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!" Thanks for Reading!
