When we went to Hamilton Zoo, I loved the peacocks that weren't in enclosures. Instead they walked all around the Zoo!

I learned inside the Zoo classroom how many animals at the Zoo were endangered, and suprisingly, there were not many!!!

Isaac -- The Power Show

Article posted October 30, 2007 at 08:33 PM GMT • comment • Reads 457

On Wednesday everyone was asking the teacher “what is a power show?” and the teacher said, “I don’t know”.
The power show came here to tell us to make good choices and respect people’s courage to do things, consideration, caring and acceptance.
The funniest things was the little green parrot because it dances to the music and the parrot had a girlfriend and in between the show the parrot wanted to write a letter to his girlfriend and that was funny.
Wharepapa South joined Puahue to watch the power show. At the start of the show we broke the clapometer. We had to clap hard out to make the sign go up to 10. First the girls tried it and they got to 7. Then the boys tried it and they got to mighty 8! Then we all tried and got to ten and broke the clapometer.
There was a ladder with stuff like courage and I thought the power show was very, very cool.

What? A clapometer? What kind of machine is that?

First I thought it is a magic show. But then I saw RESPECT so I now know it is a magic show and respect, courage, consideration, caring and acceptance show.

One of the trick’s was Elgrego lit a pan on fire and put a lid on and took it off again and Zazu came out. Zazu was a green macaw. She had along tail and yellow patches around her eyes.

Then a puppet cheetah called Trustpower Tom. He was a funny cheetah. Elgrego and Tom did a balloon trick when Elgrego said “ready” and when he was just about to blow up the balloon Tom said “ready’ and that carried on to “right” and “okay”.

“Duck!” Liam said.
Liam is a nine year old boy and Josh is an eight year old boy and Liam and Josh were stranded in a big tractor tier and the other side was filled with tomatoes and two people were throwing tomatoes at us.
“I’m too young to get hit by a tomato and die,” said Liam.
“Oh shut up. Duck!”
“Run.”
“Where?”
“Shrub.”
“Okay.”
“On my signal – 3, 2, 1, 0, now!”
Liam was a bit faster than me so I ran first. Liam caught up to me and we both ran together.”
“More aliens?”
“No, just people.”
“Okay. But the shadow?”
“Hey, did you and I just forget that we are playing tomato fight?”
“Oh yeah. I think we fell asleep.”
“I do too. So that is really Caleb and Ifor.”

Rose crashed into Zac. But Zac took his dog to the airport. The dog and cat cages fell to the ground and opened up. The pets ran up and down the airport. Then the animal control came and put food in the cages. Then the pets ran in. Then she closed the cages.

I liked the peacock that wanted to eat Miss Knight's sandwich. I learned that it is against the law to bring things made from ivory into New Zealand.
