Dear Top Catz! Blogging is a fun way to connect to the world. Today you will create your first blog article.  Your message should welcome everyone to your blog.  Your message.. called an article needs to have correct spelling, captial letters, and puncuation.  For your saftey please use your blog name and do not give out your location, where you live, or any other information that would be unsafe.  I will be approving your articles.  So get busy and post on your blog!   MsH.

OK to get started blogging everyone needs to have a blog name. This name needs to represent who you are and how you want others to view you. Since you are under 13 the law requires you to use a psuedo name. That means a made up name to protect your privacy.

Since we are the BobCats what better way to be one then to select a cat name for your BLOG!  So get  your name finding hat on and click the following link to locate a Famous Cat names http://www.citizenlunchbox.com/famous/cats.html . You are also welcome to use a cat name you already have!

Students what kind of books are you reading this summer?

Summer reading is so fun...no booklogs to record, pages to read per day, take a book and read this summer.  Read at the park, at the beach or lake, in your backyard! Just Read!

Monkey is reading a book called "Feathers"... you can find out more about the book by Reading Monkey's blog about the book  and I just got through with a book called "Thirteen Reasons Why" .  This is a very sad book about a high school girl that leaves tapes about her life after she is dead.   The other students learn about her life and how they can help other students.

I have to say goodbye too.  It is with great sadness that our Elementary School is closing after 83 years.  This school has so much history and has seen thousands and thousands of students walk the halls and sit in classrooms.  So much leanring has gone on.  Our school community is one of the best communities I have ever seen.  After 24 years teaching at this school I so appreciate all the staff, principals, custodians, PTA parents, and community. I am now teaching the children of those students I taught.  Our school is truely given it the best that it could be.  It is time now for the Building to get a much needed update so that in the future this school will prosper and bring back to its halls many more students. Please note I will contiune teaching at the new elementary school, come and visit me sometime.    With fondess regards, MsH.

Please take a few minutes to describe how you think a Law becomes a Law.  How does it get from the idea in a persons head to be enforced by others.  Enforced means if you don't follow the law then that person gets in touble for breaking the law.  Come up with 3 - 5 steps on how you think a law becomes a law.
