Brrr!  It's cold outside!!!  Winter is on its way. Students wrote sensory poems describing winter. Check out their writing in the left hand column of this page.

Our next president has been elected. As a class, we discussed the qualities it takes to be a great leader. The qualities we discussed were trust, being prepared, wisdom, and being a hard worker. Check out some of the other qualities that the student wrote about in their blog.

We are launching theme 2, Celebrating Traditions, in reading.  A tradition is ideas, customs, and/or beliefs that are passed down from one generation to the next.  Give an example of a tradition that you and your family hold.  Think about who, where, when, and what for your tradition.

We are finishing up our theme of adventures. We read the following stories--Cliff Hanger, The Ballad of Mulan, and The Lost and Found. Each of the stories were adventurous in their own way. Pick one of the stories that we read in our adventure theme and tell what makes it an adventure.
