Cole Matthew felt life is unfair because of his home life. During his stay at the Island, he learned that you need the will to survive and life is what you make it to be and to celebrate life. He learned to reflect and anger is a memory that you can never forget and he learned to forgive. He had learned to help others and that made him feel good about himself, which reminded me of How full is your bucket. He also learned how to be invisible, and by invisible I mean he couldn’t be sensed because he cleared his mind and when he cleared his mind he could see the spirit bear.
What I learned from this book is that no matter how hard and unfair life could be, life is wonderful. There are so many good things in this world, and sometimes people forget all the good in their life and just focus on the negative. I also learned that helping others is rewarding to others and to me.
These lessons are important because you can use it in your later life and they can help others as well as yourself.
There are a few events in the story that show these lessons are important. The first event was when Edwin told cole to break the left end of the stick because he told him that the left end is his anger but Cole realized that there would always be a left end. The second event to show these lessons are important when Cole was at the care centre Rosy said “,helping others can help heal the wounds of spirit”. The third event was when Garvey made his hot dog, he put lots of toppings on it and he said “,Life is a hot dog” which means life is what you make it.
I feel this book really opened up my eyes on seeing how important life is and how you should celebrate it.

On Monday February 6 We made stop motion animation films in class with the help of Director's cut and here is My reflection on it.
We have 3 questions we have to answer which are:
1. What is it important to know about when making a stop motion film?
2.How did working in a group help you learn the skills?
3.How does making or viewing animation help you learn?
1. I think it is important to know that 15 clicks is one second, to not get hands in the shot and to not move your backround.
2. Working in a group helpêd me learn because my group reminded me to do this.
3.Watching or making animation helped me learn how to make storyboards, plan thing, how to use imovie and add sound effects.
I had lots of fun making stop motion animation!

Today in class Mr. Milloy showed us a short film our librarian had found the class watched because we would be making our own short films , though the short film was computer animated and we would be making stop-motion animation I found that not having much dialogue and that many characters can make the short film better! The short film we watched is called: The Fantastic Flying books of Mr. Morrison Lessmore which I have embeded

The fur of the spirit bear

I think Cole should have thrown away the fur of the spirit bear because he can't actually prove it is fur from the spirit bear and not from another animal and I don't think he would want to remember being mauled by a bear because that is the way he got crippled.
I would have kept the fur, but not to prove I saw the spirit bear I would keep it to so I can remember that I had met the spirit bear and trusted it.

I think Cole is okay and not okay because he thinks that is life is about to end and he just wants to die because he has just noticed beauty, he has beem trusted and has trusted something. I also think he is not okay because his bones are broken, he had eaten bugs and his own vomit and a mouse, he was also attacked by a bear and he has lost alot of his inside organs from the seagulls picking at him. So in the end he is mentally okay but he is not okay life wise.

First of all I am going to be introducing you to the book touching spirit bear and the 4 basic needs. The 4 pasic needs are Power, Fun, Love and Belonging and Freedom. Power means to be recognized, be a leader or to be helping out. Fun means to be happy, funny or energetic. Freedom means to be free and able to make your own decsions and last but not least love and belonging means to have friendship or a good relationship. Now I am going to tell you about the book Touching Spirit Bear. Touching spirit bear is about Cole Matthews who doesn't have any of his 4 basic needs met and he tries to meet them with cheap ways like beating on others. A way Cole tried to fill his freedom need was by staying out later than the time he was allowed to stay out and he was beaten by his dad. Another way met his freedom need is when he was at the healing circle was when the feather went to his dad and the dad said they have always wanted the best for Cole had all his anger burst out and said how his parents drink until they can't stand and how his father almost all the time beats hims until his clothes can't hide all his bruises. A way he tried to meet his power need was he tried to kill spirit bear and then everyone would be scared of him. Another way he tried to meet his power need was by beating up Peter Driscall and he thought that would make Peter Driscall scared of him and these are some ways Cole has tried to fill his bucket
