"The silence often of pure innocence persuades when speaking fails" William Shakespeare
"Silence"
No hate,
No lies,
No wrong,
No right,
None lost,
None gained,
No harsh words,
Just silence,
No hurtful actions,
Just life.

Science Cells

We have learned a lot in Science about cells. I learned a lot about photosynthesis and all the other cells that support our body. I think the best part has been actually learning with the plants in the labs, to show how the H2O and things change. We have done a couple labs, which were pretty interesting to see the outcome for the results. Like, for plants we put them in some liquid that changed colors if it had oxygen or not. We put a plant in the sun and in the dark, to see which one lived longer. We also had one without the plant in the sun as our original.

Within itself,
beside the red, hot salsa,
under the orange, Mexican cheese,
over the tomatoes,
like a big beast,
above the shell,
in the mouth,
out the side,
near the round plate,
as yellow,
before starvation,
against the cooked, yummy, dark meat,
along the lettuce,
beneath the onions,
by the dark misty night,
without a sound,
out tonight.

I haven’t read any books lately. I am now reading,”Uglies” by Scott Westerfeld. The main character is Tally Youngblood. She is 16 and almost old enough to become a “Pretty”. I have not finished this book yet but it is very good. Amazing book I recommend this to everyone!

Well, since we can write about anything, and this is Language Arts I decided to base my newest blog on our poem presentation. For starters my presentation went horrible! Ha-ha but I had fun; I think doing more presentations will help with my stage fright, and make me less nervous! Well my poem was Blackberrying by Crescent Dragon Wagon. I didn’t really like the poem but it was interesting how she talked in the poem,” Until we brushed our teeth late late late that hot night,
had all turned,
Blackberry blue.” I don’t really have a reason for picking this poem. But, things turned out alright. I did memorize the lines very well the gestures were easy going in the poem! That is pretty much all about my poem presentation.

Poetic Effects

Some of the “tools” that poets use to create effect in their writing would be tone, which expresses the writers attitude toward his/her subject. Maybe, imagery which consists of words that appeal to a reader’s five senses. Also others like similes, metaphors etc. In my poem "Blackberrying" Crescent DragonWagon, she expresses her and whoever she was with picking blueberries. She stated," Catching at us, scratching (and we got mosquito bites to). Obviously, she was saying it was fun but it was a bit itchy!!

Take Your Pick

I chose the quote “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” Theodore Roosevelt I think it means that having faith in yourself is half the battle. If you don't believe in yourself, how do you expect others to believe in you? Well, when I grow up I want to be a veterinarian, I believe I can do it and other people should support me. :D I think it can some people put themselves down and say things are impossible, nothing is impossible so if they believe, they can achieve pretty much anything. More people would probably have better spirits that is one way it would impact the world. That how I express what the poem means.

My top goal this year is to get really good grades the rest of the quarters, we have left anyways. In the future it will help me get into good colleges. This year I also want to join more sports, it will help me improve my fitness and I can meet new friends. Those are my top two main goals this year!

I think the project went really well. I found it kind of challenging since we couldn’t actually interact with each other. At first we did not communicate very well, closer to the end we started talking MUCH more! It still worked out very well. I thought it was fun that the teachers planned to do this project. Connecting with other people virtually to get a grade was really an experience. I think you guys should do the same thing next year. I find no improvements needed!

I actually do not really know much about Greece. Off of what we had read in Humanities it is obvious that they had multiple goddesses and gods that they had worshipped. They are the people who have created the stories we read to this day.
In class my group is Argos! Our beat that we sang to with the Greek alphabet was Happy Birthday. Our flag we had made also is rad! Go Argos!!
