My daddy’s smart
My daddy’s clever
He knows what’s right he knows what’s better
But that’s not all there is more…
My daddy’s nice
My daddy’s kind
He wants the best for me and my brother
He hugs me he huddles me he cares for me
He’s on my side with every fight
And he knows that I am always right
He does not let anyone hurt my feelings and he does not let anyone leave a scratch on my heart
What a daddy I love him with all my heart maybe we fight but that’s alright he just wants the better for me
Oh daddy
Oh daddy
I love you so much you’re the one and only one who makes me happy in this life
My daddy’s generous
My daddy’s lovable
Oh, I hope you know how much I love you daddy!!!

Dear Miss Sandra,
Can I take your permission to travel to Turkey and go to space camp? This will make us smarter and this will widen our horizon.
The first reason I think we should travel is because we are learning about culture so if we travel we will get to learn about different culture like the different clothes they wear, the different food they eat, and the different religion they have…and more this will help us with our education.
The second reason is the students will cooperate with each other and have fun at the same time. Students will be more in depended. The students will also be more responsible in taking care of their things like money, clothes, handbags, jewelry… and more. The children will practice following their team or teachers and following the rules.
The third reason and final reason is because we are learning about landmark and landforms we would get a better view and explanation of the landmarks and landforms in the other countries.
In all these paragraphs what I am trying to say is that traveling will help us with our education and learning about culture, independence and responsibility, also landmarks and landforms. Also in this way we will have new experiences!!

Why people should not smoke!!!

- Humans should not smoke, so they won’t get sick or die.
- Humans should not smoke so they live longer with their friends and family. They should not smoke so they stay in good shape and in good health. If people smoke a lot, soon their heart will be black. If they also they did not smoke they will live a happy life without pain.
- You should not smoke because you are polluting the air. You can make a big fire without realizing. Like if you throw a cigarette next to tree without turning it off a big fire will erupt, or if you are in the car, restaurant or mall and you smoke the air will get polluted and if you are smoking next to a child they will be inhaling the smoke and this will affect them badly.
- People now that smoking is bad for them but they still smoke. They know that they are ruining their future, but when they start smoking they never stop. It’s an addiction. It’s your fault if you start smoking. People don’t control you, you control yourself, you become the slave of your habit. If you want to smoke (which I think is bad) it’s your fault, everything you do is in your hands it’s not you friends fault it’s your fault if you smoke.
- People should not smoke because smoking is not good at all for your own health and it pollutes the air around us.

Why Books are Important?

I think books are important because they teach us lots of important things.
Frist: They teach us new information animals, outer space and more stuff… They teach us how things grow and how things keep working, for example if you want to know how you could cook you can get a cook book and learn how to cook or if you are fixing something and you don’t know how to fix it you can get a book about it.
Second: Books make us smart especially non-fiction text. They teach us how to be polite and how to react with people. They teach us new words you can say so people get interested in what you are saying.
Third: Books are not only about providing information there are also fun books for children. Lots of good picture books and lots of good chapter book. They make children get hooked to them and enjoying and dreaming of a different world. From those chapter and picture books kids will be better writers and have a vivid imagination. With everything they have read they can combine them and do a story of their own.
Last: I think books are important because they teach us how to be polite to have a big imagination they teach us new words and lots of great stuff.

Author: Louis Sachar
Level: V
Pages: 233
Main Character:
Stanley Yelnats: He’s a friend in need is a friend in deed. He's always there for his friends.
Hector Zeroni: In camp green lake they call him Zero because they think he in not smart and because he does not talk to anyone except Stanley but he is very smart in math and Stanley is teaching nimbi how to read and write.
Warden: She is the one In charge of the camp she puts nail polish from snake poison.
Mr. sir: helps in camp green lake he stopped smoking and now he is eating sunflower seaweed. Does not like Stanley.
Mr. Pendanski: also helps in camp green lake but he is nice to Stanley and he makes fun of zero he always laughs at him because he thinks he’s dump.
About the book: There was a boy called Stanley Yelnats if you read his name backwards it is Stanley Yelnats that’s way his parents called him that it is a tradition in his family. In school everybody hated him because he was overweight they would laugh at him and call him names and throw his stuff in the toilet seat imagine just because he was overweight. He had a great great grandfather who had a curse on him that means his whole family would be cursed and every mistake they would do they would blame it on his no-good-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather. One day Stanley was walking back from school when Clyde Livingston’s 1 million dollars shoe fell from the sky on his head. Clyde Livingston is a famous basketball player. When the police saw him running to show it to his dad the shoe because his dad was trying to invent a shoe recycler but when he would try to invent something it would never work he would always blame it on his no-good-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather. When the police stopped him and saw Clyde Livingston’s shoe he toke him to court and they called his parents. There Stanley explained how he found the shoe but he lied because he knew no one would believe him this time he did not blame it on his no-good-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather it was his own problem. The police asked him if he wanted to go to gail or camp green lake he of course chose camp green lake. In camp green lake there is no lake it is a plain long dessert it is for bad boys under eighteen. Not one drop of rain falls on camp green lake. There they would have to dig a five feet wide and five deep hole and if you found something valuable while you are digging you can give it to the warden and if she likes it she will give you the rest of the day off. The warden is the she’s the chief in charge of camp green lake. Stanley was assigned in group D in group D everybody had a nickname they called Stanley Caveman for some reason. Stanley was careful with all of them because he knew they were dangerous. They would have to wake up at 4:00 in the morning because it is to hot and if they started early they will have more time before sunrise because it is so hot. There Stanley teached Zero (Hector Zeroni) how to read and write. They did a deal that if Zero dug half of Stanley’s hole (because he is a fast digger) for the rest of the day he will teach him how to read and write because he needs strength. Until one day Zigzag had a fight with Stanley and then Zero started choking Zigzag Mr. Pendanski pushed Zero and the Warden came (Mr. Pendanski is the substitute of the warden) the warden asked why this happened Zigzag told him about the deal then the warden asked some letters to zero he got them all right except on everybody started laughing except for Stanley. Zero got the shovel and it threw on Mr. Pendanski then ran away to the dessert. Few days later Stanley thought maybe zero is still alive (because in the dessert there is no water or food you can’t) Stanley tried to steal Mr. Sir’s truck but he could not because the truck fell in the hole so he ran looking for Zero he finally found him sitting under a boat.

A Christmas A Tree

I was jumping all over the place hanging this hanging that we would open boxes and take them out
Guess what …
We were hanging the Christmas tree my mom my brother and I. It was a regular tree that was living in our house for 8 years still in good shape. We got new decorations that were purple and silver the purple balls were all filled with glitter poked in them small cute purple stars. If you hold them tight you might be poked by the small shining stars. The silver ones were all different some were reindeers and some were pretty little angels and some were big silver balls with smaller balls in them. The light was glowing between that balls it would be ticking like a watch on your mom’s wrist it would go like: tick tick tick tock!! The light goes off and again tick tick tick tock!! Until it changes to another tune. The star at the very top of the tree watching us down shining like a diamond on the ring it would stay there until you bring it down.
At the end when you finish all of it would be perfect only one thing is missing under that tree the gap would be filled on Christmas morning. You go to sleep … after a few weeks its Christmas morning you wake up and that gap is all gone replaced with surprise and all kind of presents gifts from everyone especially Santa!!!(Who are your parents!!!)

A clover with only three wings does not give you faith or luck to your culture but a four leaf clover does, so keep it safe like you keep your culture safe, so grow with it till you die and pass it to the younger one.

We were studying about animal cells and plant cells. Mrs. Richani took us to the science lab in order to prepare our own cells and observe them under the microscope.
Mr. Simon the science coordinator taught us how to prepare an animal cell and a plant cell.
For the animal cell we get a cotton bud rub it from the inside off or cheek rub rub rub then we wipe it on our slide and put one drop of iodin then put the slide cover on top. I finished the animal cell it was time to prepare the plant cell.
Now for the plant cell we have to get a slice of an onion and peel a small part of the onion we peel it with the tweezers and straighten it carefully and put a drop of methodion. Now I am also done with the plant cell.
I was waiting in line to look at my two cells. After a while it was my turn. Mr. Simon also taught us how to turn the nob correctly so we can see it well.
I started seeing the cell but not very well because this was a light microscope I started seeing dots and circle it was a miracle. When I finished it was time to go home.

It was a dark and stormy night. I was at my friend’s house watching a horror movie. The rain was splashing like crazy. It was 12:00pm when I left my friend’s house back home . When I was walking I felt footsteps splashing in the puddles of water right behind me I turned around and suddenly the sound stopped. Every time I turn my face the sound stops. I ran towards my home, my body was shaking vigorously, my heart was beating loudly, sweat was trickling down my neck even though it was freezing outside. When I got to my house and opened the door the lightening stork and the sky went white. Exactly after that I saw a shadow go down to the basement where I was going to turn on the electricity I got the broom that was closest to me and went down. I kept the door of the basement opened for any urgent escape. I walked and put my hand up to turn on the electricity when I felt somebody was breathing right next to my neck. My hand that was up it froze, I did not move I turned on the button of the electricity and with my full power I turned around… there was nobody the electricity came everywhere. The rain and the thunder storm stopped immediately everything went back to normal. I went up to my house checked if everything is okay and went to sleep.
I’ll never this scary event in my whole life. Even though I didn’t see anybody, but I was sure I was followed by a kind of creature!!!

It was dark and lonely night when my dad was not at home, mother and I were in the kitchen. I was helping her with the dishes, while my brother was in his room playing with his toys.
After a while, I went to the living room and the TV was already on. I recognized it was my brother’s favorite TV show. I went to his room to tell him while I was going there he was already running in front of me, because he knew it was on. Suddenly while he was running he tripped over the carpet and fell on the sharp corner of the table on his forehead. My mother came dashing in front of me when she heard screaming and I ran after her. My mom held my brother and we directly out of the door to our neighbor’s house. We started knocking so hard that they opened the door right away, when they saw my brother’s head dripping with blood they knew where we wanted to go. They quickly went to go change their clothes. Then they took my brother “Yamen” to the hospital. While I stayed at my neighbor’s house with their children playing cards but that did not make me feel better.
From 8:00 to 12:00 (at night) we were waiting. Tears were dripping out of my eyes and falling down to my lap. Then finally, we heard the bell ring I ran to the door and I saw my mom and neighbor’s husband clothe full of blood so was “Yamen’s.” My dad was carrying my brother in his arms. After few weeks “Yamen” was better.
I was relieved that we had such good and helpful neighbors and I was glad that now the only thing left was a scar to revive this traumatic experience.

We were going to Dair-al Qamar with 5C we were going to sleep there for one day we were all exited. We arrived we got our bags and drank a small cup of juice and a small cake.
It was time to put up our tent. I was sharing the tent with liana and lina. We were the first to put our tent up. Afterwards we unpacked and helped the others with the tents when we were helping the others, lina fell and twisted her ankle so she couldn’t do so many things. After that we went hiking for one hour (lucky lina she stayed with Miss Salam.) When we were coming back from the hike everybody was go so fast and there were so many thorns so, me and Razan stayed behind and we got lost. There was another group that was way behind, but we couldn’t wait they were too far we kept climbing and shouting for help “help, help somebody!!!What should we do Razan?” we kept screaming until Hisham heard us and helped us by that time we stayed sticking to the group.
When we had along rest we played a game that is we put ourselves in groups and who ever does the best small village wins. When they picked the winners we were in second place but still we were happy. After that we stayed one hour in our tents and we could not get out except if we want to go to the bathroom.
For dinner we had barbecue with garlic and homus after the barbecue, we did a fire and sat around it we started saying scary stories (but were not scary at all.) It was 10:00 and it was time to sleep liana lina and I slept the tents of the boys next to us kept on talking.
At 4:30 lina woke me and liana up and I could still hear talking in the boys tent. Lina and I went to Jana’s tent for ten minutes then to Sasha’s tent for five minutes then we went to our tent for five we minutes. At 10:00 we had breakfast the breakfast was manouch we drank with them hot chocolate I drank two cups of hot chocolate.
Later we played capcher the flag with 5C and our class won we put down the tent and packed our stuff and headed Bach to Beirut.

I am a drop of blood coming from the brain. I am the deo-oxygenated blood, but why me? Why me? I am the SUPERIOR VENA CAVA I am going to be pumped by the heart into the lungs to be cleaned. My journey begins now!!
I knock on the right atrium please let me in I need to be cleaned the right atrium opens the door and I pass through a tiny opening called the tri-cusped valve then I go down into the right ventricle and I see the septum. The septum divides the heart into two. Then we went in the pulmonary artery (is the only artery that carries deo-oxygenated blood)it took us to the lungs these are organs in our body. They are responsible about inhaling oxygenated blood and exhaling deo-oxygenated blood. They are like a balloon, when we inhale they are inflated. The lungs started washing us. From the lungs we went back to the left atrium, by the pulmonary vein it’s the only vein that carries deo-oxygenated blood. The mitral valve opens and we go down to the left ventrical after that we are pumped to the aorta the aorta takes us to all body parts.
This is how my blood circulates in my body over and over again.

A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed

|
A friend should be trust-mutual that means you should trust him/her and they should trust you blindly. You shouldn’t judge a person by his physical appearance does not mean if he is another skin color than you shouldn’t be his friend.
A friend should not be bribing you it means you should not be acting in someone’s favor by him/her giving you a gift or money that means he is not a true friend. They should not be manipulating by being unfair or by controlling you. A friend should not be selfish for example if you tell that person something he/she says ”ya ya who cares” or just pretends not to hear you.
A friend should not be a backstabber for example if somebody talks about you in a bad way he says “you’re right” to that person instead he should say “please, don’t talk about my friend this way” that’s a good friend.
A friend should be loyal to you he/she should respect you and consider what you say not just that everything he/she says is right. A friend should be trustworthy for example if you tell he/she a secret they should keep the secret and not tell it to everyone if they keep it that is called a true friend.
A friend should keep his promise and not keep saying “later, later.” A friend should be supportive and helpful it means they should be there with you when you need them to be on your side. A friend should be passionate to you they should have strong feelings.
A friend should be empathy to you to have the ability to understand and share the feelings of one another and by all these things I mean you should pick the right friend for you.

How Should a President be?

|
Do you want a president to be trustworthy or you want one who lies to you?
Those are some qualities a president should acquire in order to succeed…
A president should be attentive and helpful to his people and never selfish or self-centered. A president should be trustworthy and honest so his people will trust him blindly. He should be respectful to his country, knowledgeable about the history of his country, educated and know how to deal peacefully with other countries.
He should be expecting things and know how to deal with it that means he should be wise and a problem-solver not just letting things carry on. He must be determined, successful and courageous, to solve all kind, of problems he might face.
All these qualities should be embedded in the good leader.
People you have to be wise in choosing otherwise, you’ll pay for your mistake!
Sincerely yours,
Aya Mlaeb
