Woo! Its spring break!!! So excited! Aw, but after break it's ELA week. But I know I'm ready for it. I mean, after all the practice tests, I think I'll do fine. But it's the math I'm most worried about. I always seem to make the smallest mistakes and get a completely wrong answer. But we have off now, so I can relax. In my class, we are righting A to Z biographies. It's when you write about something, a place, or someone special to you starting with each letter of the alphabet. Really fun. I don't know what to do for X or Y...... Xylophone? Hmmm! I have seventeen letter stories so far, hoping to get it done by the end of break. Wish me luck!

Hi!!! It's nice to know that people still think of me <3! I hope I can see you guys again. I love my new friends, but if you guys were with me here in my new school my life would be complete. Can one of you guys say hi to Mr. Lavy, Ms.P, Mrs.Williams and Ms.Warner for me?? Missing you, Avneet

Things are going okay at my new school. We are having a science fair, and i am getting super busy with research. I really miss searingtown and all my friends, especially ones from this class. I have friends at my new school too, but its not the same because I've known my friends at searingtown since I was 5.

Summer has been really fun so far!! Did anyone see the fireworks??? I just watched them on channel 2... I miss everyone!!! I'm gonna go swimming next week. Enjoy the rest of your summer!!!

My fear is kind of emberrasing! But, I'm sure lots of people are scared of them! I was in a family friend's house and they had a dog... Its was really cute, but I was terrified! It would always come towards me when I ran away, but they said the dog thinks I'm  playing a game. My Dad got angry at me for being scared, and he said "I had a dog when I was young! You've got to show the dog who's boss!" I then started to pet it with one hand, then dog had an ADORABLE face so I now like them but I'm still a little scared!

IT'S JUNE ALREADY? Where have I been? I have changed a lot! I've gotten smarter, quicker, and nicer! I can improve in being more of a problem solver. I can acomplish this by practicing! My favourite memory from 4th grade is making the klik klok music video! Im gonna miss 4th grade.

There are lots of things on the lunch menu this month. Some not so healthy. The ones I would like to see eliminated are Taco Day, Hamburger day, and a BLT Chicken sandwich. Things I would like too see is free bottled water and a bigger salad area. If there was a day called "Our Health Day",  the menu would have a fruit salad, a turkey, chicken, or veggie sandwich and no added sugar and non concentrate orange juice or any juice.

I would probably be a patriot. The reason is taxes are unfair, I mean they put them on things colonists need to survive! The war did put a dent in the king's wallet, but now bigger dents are going the colonists' wallets. The king puts taxes on the colonists, but not the people of Britain. The king is being super unfair.

Very good question, title.  Well, over Spring Break, I stayed home and I all i did was sleep, eat, sleep, play, sleep and watch TV. Pretty interesting, huh? Did I mention sleep?  If i could do something or go somewhere, I would probably want to go to the park or maybe NYC. I chose this because I'd like to go somewhere with LOTS of people.

One of my triumphs this year is learining long division, and getting good at it.  Another triumph this year is making new friends in this class. One of my challenges this year actually just happened, it was learning mixed numbers and improper fractions. Another challenge was factoring and prime factorization.

They were amazing!My favorite part was when the violins sounded like dragon flies. I think our class would enjoy pop music. We could go see the Black Eyed Peas! Yeah! That sounds cool.

My choice is... dun dun da daaaa! Crayfish! I chose the this because we all loved learning about crayfish and we even did a music video for crayfish. The way I would get the class and teachers to vote I would say " Come on! We loved crayfish! We did a music video too! Please!!!!"

Ok. This week's blog was a little hard. But I kept on thinking and I got an idea. My nickname would be cold lunch, because the school calls what they are serving for the day is called hot lunch, and I never take that. I usually just grab a bagel and milk then I'm done. Even my friends say that I barely take hot lunch. So, my nickname would be cold lunch!   

I think we depend too much on electricity. I mean we have it all around us! Lamps, computers, radios also lightbulbs. Without it, we would have a completely a different life. My home wouldn't be SO bad.We would still have lighters,candles,tables and chairs.But, we would have NO fridge, I wonder where they kept food in the 1700's. School wouldn't be bad at all. We have paper,pens,chairs,desks,and books. If I was an inventor, I would make my machines run on canola oil. It's eco-friendly and it's safe.

Dear Journal,

My first day at Plumstead isn't going like I thought. First I got thrown like a football by eighth graders. Tip: Stay away from eighth graders. Anyway, after that I couldn't leave the back of the bus. I don't know why, but something was stopping me. After awhile the bus driver left. I didn't know where he went. But when he came back, he was with the PRINCIPAL and some other girl with a notepad and a pencil.The principal asked me questions. I didn't answer any of them. A couple of minutes later the bus driver said this wasn't his only job in a loud voice. Next thing I knew, we were moving! He drove us to his second job at the gas station! When we got back at the school, we were laughing hystarically! But I could tell the school was going haywire. For some reason Mr.Brimlow acted surprised when the secratary said we were late. I think he used a spoonful of sarcasm! Unfortunatly, we had to go to the late room.

If I could make a constellation, it would be called The Little Avneet. I chose that because I'm a little short, and because Avneet is my name. It would be shaped like a girl. Rigel would be at the top where the head is, and Betelguese would be at the bottom where the feet are.

On friday, my family took down our christmas tree. It was actually fun. I told my sister to video tape it then make it go backwards with special effects. That would've looked really cool.

2 ways I could improve this new year as a student is to raise my hand more and answer more challenges if I can. The ways I can achieve this is by studying more and paying more attention in group discussions. I definitely think I can do it 

I think my grades were very good this marking period. If I was a teacher, I would give myself an A+. I feel like my strongest  subject is Social Studies. An area where I could improve is math and science. The way I can  improve my grades in these areas is by studying more and looking more into my notes.

When I grow up would like to become an artist,teacher or a photographer. The reason I want to be an artist is that I love painting & drawing. The reason I want to be a teacher is because when I see my teachers, I can tell they love their job. I want be a photographer is because I enjoy taking lots of pictures and videos. My backup job is an artist. Remeber who my role model is?

If I could write a children's book the genre would be fantasy.It would be called 'A Princess Journey.'It would be about a little girl who ran away to find a castle.And when she went inside,she met the queen who really disliked her.Then the queen makes her the crowned princess as a scheme to get rid of her.But before her corination, the queen asks her do a little favor in the lost forest,and she finds herself in a series of dangerous challenges tasked by the forest fairy,who was told to do that by the queen.

Maybe that really could be a book someday.

My role model is the art teacher at the school.She is an amazing artist and a nice teacher.Things I can do to be just like her is practice my art skills.
