During this week I did many exciting things. One of those things was making a sampler, this is a thing to help with spellind and working with numbers. During this prosses I got to have corn bread and apple juice.
This week I also finished up ISATs. If you have never heard of them the n now you will learn. They are big tests in the end of February and the beginning of March. In many ways they can be scary and annoying but they aren't that bad. Those were the most interesting thing I did this week.

Here's what I did last week. What did you do? One thing was that on Friday it was colonial day. Even though we didn't do much, it was still fun. First, our aide Mrs. Cucco made us corn bread. It was good and we also had apple juice with it. THen we made some picture thing. I can't remember what it was called but I know it was fun. First we punched holes and then sewed yarn in and out of the holes. After that we glued some thing and made a paper tree. That was what we did for colonial day.
Another thing we did last week was that we had the last ISATs. It was a reading response and multiple choice qeustions. It wasn't fun, like most tests we take. We read 2 articles and then did one reading response for one of them. I was so happy that it was the last but then we have them next year then we have finals and so on.
That was what wedad last week. Bye!

Last week we finished ISAT testing. Our three subjects were science, math and reading. It went okay. But we did it right when we got to school. It took a hour. We shared gym class with another fourth grade class because the ISAT took the time of there gym time.
In art we are drawing our faces with speech bubbles. We are doing benday dots. It's turning out great. We are doing it for an art show.

Have you heard, the Nightingale is coming to town! I can't wait, at my school we have a school musical each year. The only grades that are in the musical though is the fourth grade and fifth grade at our school. I'm in luck this year because I am in fourth grade and I am doing the musical this year. The musical is the Nightingale. It is a wonderful story about a kingdom that a beloved emperor rules. In our play though a empress rules. She has heard of this wonderful nightingale and wants to see it. The nightingale is brought to the empress and keeps it there for a while. A little while latter a package arrives. A mechanical nightingale is in the box. Soon everyone likes the mechanical bird better. The real bird is banished from the kingdom. The mechanical bird breaks though and the empress grows sick. She is about to die when the real bird comes back and sings for the empress. The empress becomes better and everyone is overjoyed. So that is the play this year and I am very exited.

In school we are learning about weather. We each got a type of weather to study and I got blizzards! They are amazing. Until I started to research this type of weather I never really knew what blizzards were. Ok yeah, I knew it was a bad storm with lots and lots of snow. But I didn't know all the scientific things that made up a blizzard. Did you know winds in a blizzard can get up to 35 miles per hour or more. Also blizzards can go on for more than 3 hours. That can be scary because there could be lots of white outs pluss family's could be separated. Some are at work others on the road. Trees might fall down and so could power lines. I dislike blizzards because the are very cold but I like them because you get out of school, you get to play in the snow and after a long day in the snow you can get some hot chocolate. Well I need to go now but I hope you learned something about blizzards! Have fun in YOUR next blizzard!

My week was a fine week. But guess what, I was SICK WITH A TEMPETURE OF 100.9 and it was not fun. So I went to the doctor and I got th the strep throught test where the doctor takes a thing that looks like a giant stick with a cotton ball that has been flatend and they stick it in your throught and rub it on theback of your throught and so my doctor did it 6 times and on the sixth time I coughed. So other than that I had a prety good week.

This week we had a lot of fun.
This week everybody was so excited, because we finished or I.S.A.T's. Now we don't have to be stressful.
In science lab we made homemade barometers. We cut off the part that you blow into off a balloon and streched it on the top of a jar. Then we taped a straw on the middle of the balloon. Then we made some recorder that was cool.
This week was awesome.

In science lab we made a barometer. A barometer is a instrument that measures air pressure. When air pressure is greater it presses down on the balloon which makes the pen attached to it go up. When the air pressure is lower the air in the jar pushes up which makes the balloon go up making the pen go down. What's really weird is that every square inch is 14.7 pounds of air pressure

Last week we finished ISATS and we usually do that in the early morning so we got that over with pretty quickly so that took a lot of pressure off the whole class. After that we had P.E. with Mrs. Edwards class and then read Night of the Twisters and did our reveiw sheet. Then we went to lunch and recess after that we read ind. and then had science which we started studing for our test. Then we went to music and worked on the musical. Then we packed up and went home! Then the rest of the week I was sick!!!

Last week we tried cornbread. We tried cornbread because it was what the colonial people ate it. Also we read some chapters of Nght Of the Twisters. Night of the Twisters is a good book. We also talked about angles and lines in math. Angles interest me alot. Because what if there where no angles what would a triangle be? Thats what we did last week. BYE !
