Kimiko was born December 31 ,1983 in St.Albert ,Alberta . She now lives in Calgary Alberta . The sport she is in is Snowboarding . Her coach is Mark Fawcett . She is on the Canadian National team .

She has been in World Cups and World Cup Championships . Some of the world cups she has been in since the last olympics for the parellel giant slalom are Telluride Colorado, U.S.A world cup and Limone Piemonte, Italy . In the Telluride world cup she placed 3rd on December 15, 2009 . In the Limone world cup she placed 2nd on December 14, 2008 . Some world championships she has been in are Gangwon, South Korea and Arosa, Switzerland . In Gangwon, South Korea she placed 18th on the parellel slalom on January 21, 2009 . In Arosa Switzerland she placed 16th on the parellel giant slalom on January 16, 2007 .

In the off season Kimiko ( more reffered to as Kimi ) starts off the day with a big bowl of cereal then heads to the gym at about 10:00 . She goes five times a week . On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, she lifts weights in the morning and does a second cardio workout either right after or in the afternoons . So even when its the off season she still finds a way to stay fit !

The development of snowboarding was inspired by skateboarding, surfing and skiing . It was developed in the U.S.A in the 1960 and 1970 and became a winter Olympic sport in 1998.

In Minnesota 1917, a man named Vern Wicklund invented the snow board made from boards from a barrel . The sport did not catch on intel the 1960s. Thats when a Michigan engineer named Sherman Poppen inveted a snowboard called the Snurfer ( using the words
"snow" and "surfer" ) . The original Snurfer was made from a childs skis screwed together ,with a rope attached to the front . Poppen sold a lot of Snurfers ,many people thought they were just toys though . Then young fans started making and selling high-quality Snowboards ( which were not toys any more ) .

In 1998 Snowboarding became an event in the winter olympics . it was rejected by most slopes but other slopes loved the idea. almost every slope has snowboarders now .

For snowboarding you need to wear a jacket ,helmet ,goggles, gloves and ski pants .

Snowboarding is alike alpine skiing they can use the same hills for races and for practicing andthere both very fast ! Did you know that snowboarding is a combination of surfing and alpine skiing .

The half pipe is a semi-circle like ramp and it is between 8 to 22 feet deep so competitors can perform tricks and do crazy jumps while going side to side on the half pipe and tricks are performed in the air above the sides of the half pipe.

This Christmas I want an ipod nano or a touch so I don`t have to share with my brother . I also want one so I can play games and listen to music when were on a road or at home . I could also use it to watch movies when were on the road or when all our T.V`s are being used .

I also would like a lululemon sweater because there really nice material and there really warm . I also want one because they have cool designs on them and I really need a new sweater .

Another wish I have for Christmas is I want My Sisters Keeper . It`s a really good movie and I really want it . I also want it because it`s interesting and and I`ve never seen anything like it.

I also want a pink D.S.i because you can go on the internet ,take pictures and they have better games .

The last wish I have is to let everyone in my city to have a Christmas dinner and have presents even if they can`t afford it . I want this because it`s not fair that we can have it and they can`t . They don`t have anything (or just a little bit) so I think they should atleast have a Christmas . I also think this because Christmas is about giving . So shouldn`t someone give to them ?
