The Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus website is NOT REAL! Octopuses can not live on land. They need water. http://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/

The DHMO is also NOT REAL. They want you to by stuff and some people on other websites say they made the joke go in many directions. http://www.dhmo.org/

I think that both of the websites are fake. First, a tree octopus does not exist. The picture was probably photoshopped or, they put a rubber octopus on the tree. And, Dihydrogen Monoxide is actually just H2O (Water). So, both of the emails are spam. I think. I checked on google. And google is 60% right- I think.

Well, the first website on tree octopi was obviously fake, because how would they live without water for a long period of time. The pictures looked kind of like toys. The second website on Dihydrogen Monoxide, I thought it was real at first but when I read it I realised it was fake. When it said that gas was found at school shootings so that made me realise that it was fake.

Tree Octopus Website

The tree octopus website is kind of believable but not completely, just because people show pictures about the tree octopus doesn't mean that they actually think it’s real. but what if the people who made the posters were made to make it? One question I have for them.

DHMO Website

This website is kind of boring in my opinion... i mean it has to interesting photos and people might not even read it. All it mostly has are links, and little information.

But From these 2 websites i perfer believing the tree octopus one... even though it has wierd photos, that people might have just made up.

I think the tree octopus website is a fake, because on the sideline, a news says "The Brawlla in Whyalla: Giant Australian Cuttlefish vs. Government Salt-Vampires.", and I don't think there's such an animal or any creatures called "Government Salt-Vampires". Also, there's a gift shop on the website, and I don't think an informational website would have a gift shop on the website.

I don't think the Dihydrogen Monoxide Research Division was real, either, because at the very end, it says: Note: content veracity not implied, which I searched up in google, and it said the website isn't true if it says that.

The website http://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/ is fake because I searched the the sienctific name on Google and I clicked on the Wikipediea website to it and it said it was an internet hoax from 1998 made by Lyle Zapato.

I also think that this website, http://www.dhmo.org/ is fake because at the bottom it said Note: content veracity not implied which means that the content is not meant to be truthful.

I think that the websites are both untruthful. On the Dihydrogen Monoxide website it said "content veracity not implied". Then I googled veracity definition and veracity meant truthfulness. On the octopus website the pictures looked fake.

Ok, ok I really think its fake and I laughed at it the first time a saw it. I know its not real because its dumb its like spiting under water puma or flying tiger and you think its real. The tree octopus is weird because it's all fake and right now I feel like I still want to laugh at it. ITs dumb because octopus live in water it sounds fake when i saw the wedsite.  It sounds soo... fake.  The other website was like spam to me like send a letter to south park? Im not joking its like spam like theres a virus or something there. I think other wise it was like a link into something.

Both websites, http://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/ and http://www.dhmo.org/ are fake websites. I know because you can tell the tree octapus is fake by looking at the picture, and I searched each of them on Google and they have both been proven spoofs.

You can tell if the websites is reliable if there is lots of information on the article or if there are pictures and if someone told you that it is reliable. I don't think the tree octoopus website is reliable but I think the dhmo website is reliable because of the info I know.

I think website is not reliable. The website gives a lot of information about where the octopus was found, which shows where it lives but I dont think it tells the main facts, like what they eat.
