 Theme of Heat by Mike Lupica Journal entry by Shane Kelder I think the theme of Heat is that you should never stop trying even if a bunch of people are against you. I say this because in heat a kid named Michael gets kicked off his baseball team because he didn’t have a birth certificate. But through all that he continued to help his team win games by helping his coach, coach but this story does have a happy ending be because Michael does end up getting his birth certificate.
