The conflicts in among the hidden by Margaret haddix that are leading to the characters change are that in the beginning Luke is not allowed to eat with the rest of the family because of the building of houses next to their farm. That helps him deal with loneliness. Then he discovers that the “Sports Family” Has an illegal third child just like him except that they are Barons (Very rich families). So they can’t get in to trouble. So one day Luke runs to the house and discovers jen. But through a series of events she ends up getting shot and that helps change him from a little baby to a strong guy.

The advice I would give to Luke in Among the imposters by Margret Haddix is that no matter what happens no matter how hard it is never give up because if you do bad things could happen to you or your friends or both. I say this because if Luke hadn’t knocked Jason out Jason would have betrayed him and other 3 children to the population police, and that would not be good. So in conclusion Luke cannot give up not matter what.

In the book Among the imposters by Margret Haddix Some of Luke’s personalities help Luke persevere the conflict and win . These conflicts are Bravery; Luke is brave because he knocked out Jason when he was betraying the four other illegal children to the population police. Luke is also loyal because when he was given the chance to leave Hendricks he didn’t because he wanted to help the other third children. So in conclusion Luke was brave and that helped him get over the conflict.

The book Among the imposters by Margaret Haddix Is an text to text to the book Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J k Rowling, because in the Harry potter book Harry and Dumbledore get betrayed by Snape because Snape kills Dumbledore. Then in Among the imposters Jackal boy aka Jason Barstow or His alias Scott Renault Betrays 4 third children who go to school with him to the Population Police, but ends up getting arrested by the population himself. So that is how Among the imposters and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince are alike.

In the book Among the Hidden by Margret haddix Luke is an illegal third child and is not allowed to go outside or he might get caught and executed by the government. This book reminds me of my life because in October 2009 me and my sisters had swine flu and were not allowed to go outside because we might have infected family and friends. But we would not be executed if we went outside so in conclusion this is how I dealt with a conflict similar to Luke Garners in Among the hidden.

Journal entry by Shane Kelder
I think the theme of Heat is that you should never stop trying even if a bunch of people are against you. I say this because in heat a kid named Michael gets kicked off his baseball team because he didn’t have a birth certificate. But through all that he continued to help his team win games by helping his coach, coach but this story does have a happy ending be because Michael does end up getting his birth certificate. And they end up winning the final game, and then they finally get into the Yankees stadium.

In Lush by Natasha friend my text to text is to Perfect which is also by Natasha Friend, my text to text is that in both books Sam and Isabelle have problems in Lush. Sam has an alcoholic father while in perfect Isabelle is bulimic ( I think) any ways so the fact is that they both have problems . They may not be similar or anything but there still problems .And the reason I chose to do a text to text is that the similarities just jumped out at me so anyways that is my journal entry.

My favorite part of the book called Perfect is when Isabella has a breakthrough and she stops making herself throw up. And then she asks why her Therapist why it always smells like cheetos in her office or whatever you would call it, and then the Therapist Shows her the bag of cheetos and asks her if she wants a snack but she says no. So that is my favorite part.
