The Theme of Hot Hand by Mike Lupica
In the book Hot Hand by Mike Lupica the theme is treat others the way you want to be treated. Billy's dad puts Billy on the bench just because he didn't pass the ball, or he shot and scored, or if he made a mistake. Probably most players on the team do that but Billy's dad only does that to Billy. I also know that the theme is treat others the way you want to be treated because Billy's dad doesn't pay any attention to Billy's little brother Ben. When Ben had a piano recital Billy's dad said that he couldn't go to Ben's recital because "the basketball game is my duty." I don't think that it is fair because Billy's dad pays more attention to Billy then Ben. I think that Ben's the son that needs more attention than Billy. That has to with treat others the way you want to be treated because Ben isn't being treated like treat others the way you want to be treated. That is what the theme is: treat others the way you want to be treated. In the book Hot Hand by Mike Lipica.
