Point of View for the book Cut Part I by Patricia McCormick
In the book Cut by Patricia McCormick the point of view is 1st person narrator. I know that it is 1st person narrator because in the first part of the book Callie, is the main character. Callie is talking about how she cuts herself. An example from the book is “A tingle arced across my scalp. The floor tipped up at me and my body spiraled away.” There are two examples of 1st person narrator in those two sentences from the book and they are “my” and “me.” Another reason why I know the book is 1st person narrator is because through out the Part l I in the book they use, he, she, I, me, my, ext. Those are some of the hints they give you for when the point of view is 1st person narrator. That is the point of view for the book Cut by Patricia McCormick.
