In the book Things hoped for by Andrew Clements my advice for the main character Gwen would be as soon as her grandfather went missing she should have been looking for him. Later on in the story she found out what happend to him the hard way. Dead in a cooler.

In the book Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements the conflict is Character vs Nature. The Conflict is leading the character Bobby to change because one night Bobby went to sleep when you can see him. Then the next morning Bobby woke up not being able to see himself in the mirror. This is the conflict because Bobby couldn't have just been invisable by magic. There would have had to be something to make him become invisable. Bobby's father is like this scientist and hes trying to figure what happend to Bobby to make him come invisable. This changed Bobby's life because you can't see him. He can't go to school and he cant do these things that he's been doing.

Point of View for Counting On Grace by Elizabeth Winthrop

Article posted March 25, 2010 at 02:42 AM GMT • comment • Reads 144

The point of view for the book Counting On Grace by Elizabeth Winthrop is 1st person narrator. I know this because the author uses words like I, me, she, he words like those. Another way that I know the point of view is 1st person because after Grace said a sentence in the book it would say “I said.” If it weren’t 1st person it would say “Grace said.” Those are the reasons how I knew the point of view was 1st person.

Prediction for Counting On Grace by Elizabeth Winthrop

Article posted March 16, 2010 at 12:47 AM GMT • comment • Reads 118

The book I am reading right now is called Counting on Grace by Elizabeth Winthrop. My prediction is this 12 year old girl named Grace who currently went to school and was a good reader but, later on dropped out. She has two other siblings in her family Henry, her little brother and Daila her older sister. Since she saw Arthur get pulled from her class she wanted to go work at the mills like her older sister does. I predict that Grace will realize that working at the mills wasn't how she expected it to be because she was exited to go get trained to work at the mills. Most kids her age don't like doing that work because its to dangerous because if you get your clothing caught in the machines you can get your clothing taken off and maybe some parts of your skin. Another reason why I predict this because some kids like Grace are too small to work at the mill. If you can’t reach the machines you can't work it. Like Grace she's 2 years younger than the real age. Your suppost to come and work at the mills but, her mother took Clare's birth certificate and used it as Grace's. Clare was Grace's sister who had died many years ago when she was just a baby.

The book Counting On Grace by Elizabeth Winthrop so far is about a 12 year old girl named Grace. Her and her brother, Henry are both in the same class in school. They were about to learn the "ch" noises until a guy named French Johnny came into the class room. He was going to take Arthur away to work at the mills but, Miss. Lesley doesn't want one of her good reader's to leave. Finally French Johnny got Arthur to go with him to work at the mills. Grace was talking to Miss. Lesley while all of this was going on. So Miss. Lesley just told her to leave the class room Grace did what she was told. Grace found Arthur and they were talking for a while until French Johnny found Grace and Johnny and took Arthur away. When French Johnny was taking Arthur away he thought Grace tattled on him so Arthur told Grace that he hated her.

Point of view for Hot Hand by MIke Lupica

Article posted February 23, 2010 at 10:55 PM GMT • comment • Reads 174

In the book Hot Hand by Mike Lupica the point of view is 3rd person. I know that the point of view is 3rd person because in the book Hot Hand the main character Billy isn’t telling the story in his perspective. Somebody else is which would make the point of view 3rd person. When I knew that the point of view is 3rd person when the narrator used words like he, she they, their. Another way that I knew the point of view is 3rd person because for example if the point of view was 1st person, after Billy got done saying a sentence it would say “I said” but in this case after Billy got done saying a sentence it said “Billy said.”

The aurthors purpuse in the book The Vietnam war by Ian Westwell

After finishing the book The Vietnam Way by Ian Westwell, I think that the author’s intended purpose of the book is to inform the reader of the informational facts in the book. The reason why I think that the author’s intended purpose is to inform readers because in all non-fiction books author’s always gives you facts in the book. Another reason why I know the author’s intended purpose is to give the reader informational facts. In the book the author’s gives you, information about the war, the dates of when specific things had happened, and gives you more info about the book. Those are some examples of what I think the author’s intended purpose of the book is.
