 Conflict Blog #5: Nory Ryans Song
Nory Ryans Song By Patricia Reilly Giff What advice do you have for the characters in your story to help them deal with the conflicts they face? You and your family are trying to survive the blight that attacked your potatoes, your sister: Maggie and her husband Francey left for America, your Da hasn't returned yet, and your Granda and sister Celia went to find Da. This is what is happening to Nory Ryan in the book Nory Ryan’s Song, written by Patricia Reilly Giff. In the book Nory Ryans Song Nory encounters conflicts of all different types but with all of them she seems to be handling all of these conflicts alright. With how she is handling things the only advice I would give her is to stay strong keep going the way you are handling things and stay brave, and don’t give up. I would also tell Nory Ryan to remember what Maggie told you before you left that you are the heart of this family with your songs. One last thing I would remind Nory of is to not ever stop singing no matter what that is what id so special about you.
