It has been a year since I set up my first classroom blog. I'm looking forward to working with an older class and seeing where they will go with it. Watch this space!

After reading Jack and the Beanstalk we all wrote our own versions of the story. We did a lot of drama and studying the characters before we started writing. One activity we did during prewriting was adding adjectives to some of the objects and characters in the story. Some of the adjectives we used were golden, huge, gigantic, scary, grumpy, old, sharp, poor, small, peculiar and enourmous. Can you guess what these adjectives related to in the story.
Our language experience relating to the story was to cook bakebeans on toast. We all loved eating them especially when it was such a cold wet day outside. Yummmmm bake beans on toast - what a treat.
