The Frog Prince
Once upon a time there lived a prince and a princess. They lived in a castle on a cloud. The prince’s name was Prince Hans and the princess’s name is Princess Aloia. The cloud that the castle is on is pink and big. It is the biggest cloud in the world. One day the prince wanted to go apple picking. But Princess Aloia said, “We have no way to get down to the forest.” “Why yes we do,” said the prince. “We may jump,” he said. So that is exactly what he did. He jumped off the cloud and landed in a thorn bush. And right next to the thorn bush was a well and in the well was a frog. Upon the cloud was the princess. She was still thinking how she would get down without ruining her favorite pink dress. So she went to the back of the palace and jumps. Her dress is like a parachute! She floats down safely. While the prince is picking the thorns out of his clothes he hears a familiar voice. It is his brother! He had been turned into a frog. When the prince was turned into a frog his brother was too. So they set off looking for the princess. When they were too tired to keep looking they got hungry and to their surprise the tree that the prince was laying on was an apple tree. The prince said, “I wish I could have an apple,” and the tree took one of its branches and put it in front of the prince! The prince said, “Thank you Mr. tree.” 10 trees down was the princess. She was hungry too and next to her was a berry bush. The berries on it are not poisoned so she started eating. The prince heard the bush’s leaves swishing and was wondering what that noise was so he got up with the frog. When he had walked far enough he saw his princess! “Prince Hans!” cried the princess. “Where have you been and where did you get that frog?” ”He is my brother,” said the prince. “How could he be your brother? He isn’t even a prince!” she said. “Yes he is,” said prince Hans. “He was turned into a frog when I was too.” “Then how come he hasn’t been turned back into a prince?” “That’s because no one has come here for 100 years” “How do you know that?” “When I am bored I get my telescope and look down from the cloud. And I look at the forest and say why doesn’t any one come to the forest any more?” “One minute,” said Aloia. “I want you to meet my sister. Sister I want you to my prince’s brother. “But he’s a frog.” “If you kiss him he will turn into a prince!” “All right.” And when she kissed him he turned into a prince! “My name is Harold,” said the frog. “ I know we just met but will you marry me?” “Why yes,” she said. So the next day they were married and they all lived happily ever after.
