We are a class of second graders!
There are so many things that bloggers can do: write articles; type things you've written on paper; send comments to give people ideas, make connections, or give compliments; look at the ClustrMap and see where our visitors come from; read comments people have made on our blogs; read Mrs. Shulman's articles; look at the bookshelf; visit different links like Dance Mat Typing and Free Rice; and visit blogs from other classes around the world.
Have fun blogging!

Since we're learning about the United States, I thought it might be fun to watch this video again! Watch the video, and then see how many states you can remember afterwards! If you want to learn more about a state, or continue doing your state research, you can visit this website. Have fun!

We have been reading many traditional and fractured fairy tales. Fairy tales usually begin with "Once upon a time," have magic, things in threes, good and bad characters, and a happy ending. Our class is busy writing and publishing their own fairy tales. Please keep visiting our blog - I'll be putting students' fairy tales on their blogs!
Check out the fairy tales written by: Becca, Bridie, Cameron, Emily, George, Jackson, Kevin, Lucky and Molly

Hi Second Graders! We have been so busy writing our fairy tales and putting them in our blank books, and I am so proud of all of your stories! I was wondering if you would be interested in sharing your fairy tales with our fellow bloggers and visitors. Since we have already typed our fairy tales, it would be easy to copy the writing and paste it into a blog article to put on our blogs.
What do you think? Would you like to see your fairy tale on your blog?

We love to read! Think about different characters in the books you have read or heard. If you could pick any character in any book to become friends with, who would it be and why?

I found thisblog written by 4th and 5th graders in South Africa! Since we had so much fun learning about South Africa when Max did his country project, I thought you might like to visit their blog and see what they are learning. They have also been working on a senior citizen's project, and would love to receive comments from you! Just remember to copy our blog URL (address) before checking out the site. Have fun making a new connection!

Each week, we all work together to write our class newsletter. This week we made a class newsletter Voice Thread. We have gotten some great comments from families, so I thought I would take Jonah's suggestion and post it on our blog.
What did you think of making our class newsletter in this way? Did you like making the Voice Thread? Do you think it is a better way of sharing our week with our families instead of on paper or emails? Why? Do you think there is something we can do next week to make our Voice Thread newsletter even better?
Please leave a comment or write an article to let me know what you think!
