I think recess has been a little confusing because since the beginning of the year we have been scattered around the roof.  Some teachers complain about the way were not putting things back at the right moment but the biggest thing we discuss is who goes first.

It’s not fair that the nosiest class gets to go first and fallowing the alphabetical order is not helping. So we now decided that the quietist class goes first witch makes this interesting, because we don’t have to be so late any more.

And the classes that always yell and play arrowed have to get used to this.            

·         There are 4 chambers in the heart.                                                    

·         The chambers are called right and left atriums, and right and left ventricle.      

·         The biggest artery is the aorta. 

·         There are two sides in the heart the right side and the left sides. 

·         Arteries carry oxygenated blood. 

·         Capillaries connect veins and arteries. 

·         Veins carry deoxygenated blood.  

·         If you eat a lot of junk food a layer of fat will cover your heart.  

·         If you eat a lot of junk food your arteries will clog.  

·         The left side of your heart has oxygenated blood.  

·         The right side of your heart has deoxygenated blood.  

·         The left atrium receives oxygenated blood from the lungs.  

·         The left atrium contracts sending the blood to the left ventricle.  

·         The left ventricle contracts sending the blood to the aorta and all over the body.  

·         You can put a machine in your body that will help your heart pump blood.  

·         There are 3 types of blood vessels.   

·         The names of the blood vessel are arteries, veins, and capillaries.           

·         The good cholesterol is called HDL. 

·         The bad cholesterol is called LDL.  

·         The cardiovascular system has three names.

·         Sugar free gum is bad for you. 

·         Fish has antioxidants.

·         Antioxidants raise you’re HDL level.

·         Sugar is barley recommended in the food premed.

                           Facts we learned from the cardiologist  

·         Your heart is the size of your fist. 

·         You can’t replace your heart with a machine. 

·         You can’t replace a kid’s heart with an adult’s heart.  

·         If you eat a lot of cholesterol your arties will clog.    

In 5c we had two visitors come to our class Miss Jeanette Karam, and Dr. Antoine Abchee. Miss Jeanette Karam is dietitian, she talked to us about are diets for are everyday lives. We got a lot of knew information from her such as if you eat steamed vegetables its better than if you eat fried vegetables. And cheek if something is expired, expired food can affect you. And she handed us a food primed to show us how much of each part of the primed were supposed to have in our diet. And don’t have chocolate on a daily bases, and never skip breakfast if you do you won’t be able to get energy.

Later that same day Dr.Antoine Abchee visited us he is a cardiologist. We talked about our body did you know your heart never stops beating, and your brain is always sending signals to your body and you can replace a kids heart with a grownups heart. And fish is better than red meat. And plane oranges are better than squeezed oranges because when you squeeze oranges all the vitamin C comes out.
