So Much
Depends Upon
So much depends upon
the waves moving
softly, quietly and weathering
the ocean’s rocks
changing their features
from roughness to smoothness.
So much depends upon
a shiny light bulb
That might
Light up your path
When ot’s dark at night.
So much depends upon
Mrs. Branch who enriched us
with knowledge
on character education
since she first stepped
into ACS.
So much depends upon
Vocabulary
that might
teach you
new vocab words.

A friend
“A friend in need is a friend in deed.”
A friend means to me a lot. A friend means that you can count on them and trust them. We should always help each other. When they are in problem. We should cooperate together. You know, friendship is a really hard thing. When you are fighting with an enemy, in the end you become best friends with them. We love them just the way they are. We have to treat them with respect so they will treat me back with respect. When we disagree on something, we have to say why we don’t agree on it and then agree on something else. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be friends anymore. We study, play and talk together about issues. We call each other if they are sick or we want to invite them somewhere. A friend can give you a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand for support. You can depend on your friend a lot. When you are feeling sad or happy, your friend will be there with you. You can teach your friend what they don’t know, and they can teach you too. You shouldn’t say bad words to them because they have feelings too, not only you. In the good times and the bad times, your friend will be there with you forever and ever. We have to know who our friend is and how long have he been our friend. If we don’t have a friend, we will be lonely, sad and helpless. Your friends can help you in projects. You can have many friends, but maximum 1 or 2 best friends.

Dubai trip
Introduction: Who said I will have fun? Who said I always swam in Dubai and saw my best friends? Who said I saw the tallest building in the world and it is in front of my hotel?
When I traveled to Dubai, I unpacked my suitcase. Inside the house I saw a Billiard table and a Dart board. I saw a swimming pool in front of the hotel. I saw my best friends, Sandra and Celine; they have a baby sister called Sibelle. I swam in Dubai every day. Sometimes I swam in the beach and sometimes in the swimming pool. In the beach, I go to the sea and get sea shells, catch crabs and build a sand castle with shells as the door. I saw the tallest building in the world and it is in front of my hotel. I went to the Dubai mall and I saw many people. My heart started to beat so fast, it made me feel too shy to speak. At night I ate pizza. Every night I ate pizza in Dubai and every night before I go to sleep, I read a Dr. Seuss boo k. In the afternoon, I went to the Ice cream store in Dubai mall and ordered 3 scoops of ice cream in a cone that has glitter on it. I went to Atlantis to ride on the wheel in a fish tank and in tunnels. I went to play with the dolphins. I threw a ball to the dolphin and he fetched it back to me. I danced with the dolphin. When I had a family picture with the dolphin, I held the tail all by myself. I fed the dolphin baby fishes. After that I went and bought dolphin souvenirs. The dolphin was called Soul. I asked my mom, “Can I have the big cone with icing and sprinkles on it?” She said, “Yes”.
I bought many toys from the toy store then came back to the hotel to pack my suitcase then go back to Lebanon. I cried good-bye to my hotel.

I’m a hard, attractive and inviting copy lying on a shelf waiting to be picked. Aha! Someone chose me, Good! I was extremely happy, but…. Oh?! What are you doing to me?!
Ow, ow, ow! My eyes are hurting. My mouth tastes disgusting from erasers.
Open close, open close, open close! You always slam my door harshly in my face.
Have Mercy! Have you hear your teacher talking about respecting your books. The worst thing is when babies are chewing on my corners, tearing pages off--- writing heartlessly on me. Then they throw me on the floor stepping on me.
Chp, chp, chp! You’re flipping me a lot. Now my neck is broken. I hope you don’t break my whole body.
Guys, of course I won’t be as attractive as you brought me home on the first day. That’s why you want to send me to the recycling bin? Please, Don’t! It’s not my fault after all.
