Hello grade 3's! I know it is hard to believe but Christmas is less than a month away! Christmas makes me think of a lot of things, like presents, family, and fun get togethers.

Your question today is:

If you could get ANY present in the world for your family, what would you get them?

I would get my family a week off of work so that we could all spend time together without worrying about other things!

We are almost in the season of winter!

What I would you like you to blog about is...what is your favorite thing about winter? What do you like to do in the winter time?

I really like to going skidooing with my Dad. We like to explore old farmyards and go to places that we couldn't go to with a truck or car. We also like to look for animals. We once saw 3 moose, a coyote, and some partridge (they are a kind of small bird.) I also like building snow forts, going to hockey games, and snuggling up under a blanket and watching a movie when there is a storm outside! What do you like to do during winter time?

As you likely know, the grade 3's get to be the stars of the Division 1 Christmas play. The name of the play is "Home for the Holidays."

Here is what the play is about:

The Yuletide family and their cat Festive are going home to Grandmother's house for the December holidays. But their flight has been cancelled, there is no train service, and they need to find a Christmas tree fast!

We listened to the play the other day in class.

I think I would like to have the power to fly. That way I could visit my brother, who lives in Idaho in the United States, anytime I wanted to!

WOW! Lots of great blog entries have been popping up! Keep them coming! Now that we are leaving the computer on so that students can blog at any point during the day, I thought I would add another optional assignment for them to do if they wanted to.

What I am being for Halloween is a surprise! But I have been giving a few hints. There will be another hint at the end of this blog post!

I have dressed up like Tinkerbell, a cat, an Egyptian, Ariel from the Little Mermaid, Jasmine from Aladdin, a princess, a rabbit, and a wicked witch. My favorite one was the wicked witch, because my best friend dressed up like a witch that year, too. We both got to wear really ugly looking noses that made our voices sound funny. We had a hard time not giggling every time we talked!

I have 2 favorite Halloween treats! I love popcorn balls, especially if they have jube-jubes or gummi bears in them! I also love wagon wheels. My older brother, Travis, didn't like wagon wheels so he always give me all of the wagon wheels he got. I gave him all the BBQ chips I got because I didn't like them. It was a great relationship!

For our Halloween party, I am making something really fun. I am going to make cupcakes that have goo inside of them and a big worm on top! They will also be covered with dirt! Doesn't that sound delicious? Hehehehe!

Some class news:

Today, I took pictures of the students pretending that they had just seen a ghost. The pictures are hilarious and will be used in a craft on Monday. We are going to be making spooky windows that will have their pictures inside. I can't wait to see how they will all turn out! I also took some pictures of the groups working on their magnet activity in Science today. I will post the pictures sometime this weekend.

My favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid. I once dressed up as Ariel for Halloween when I was your age. I wore a pink wig!

I have a goldfish named Bubbles. He is 5 years old. He lives in the pond in our backyard during the summer. In the winter, he lives in my friend's fishtank until it is warm enough for him to go out into the pond again. He loves to eat bugs, especially mosquitos!

I love to cook, especially for my family. I like to make hamburgers, Chinese food, spagetti, cookies, and gummi bear popcorn balls especially. Everyone seems to like the food that I make for them, except once when I burned the hamburgers on the barbeque! OOPS!
