Finally the big day is here!! We have prepared and written many stories and tomorrow is the big day. I know that you all are ready and I am excited for you to be able to show what wonderful writers you have become. I, on the other hand, don't have to take the test! How are you feeling about the big day finally being here? Do you feel prepared or are you nervous? Share with us your feelings about the Writing TAKS test being tomorrow.

New President

As a class yesterday, we were able to watch the inauguration of our new president. This was history in the making and we were lucky to be able to watch this happen! Tell about your feelings and how you think President Obama will bring change to our country.

Yesterday we researched the "Dust Bowl" in the computer lab. You went to many sites, saw pictures, read information and even listened to people talk about this time in history. What is the most interesting piece of information that you learned from your research?

One of Santa's elves came knocking at your door and said, "You're the lucky winner!!! Santa chose you!" The jolly, little elf went on to say that you could choose any gift to give to any one person. There is no limit as to how much the gift would cost (it doesn't have to cost a thing either). In your response, tell who the gift is for, what the gift is and why you chose to have this person recieve this gift. Give this some thought and be creative in your response.

The holidays are just around the corner! I love the holidays because I spend lots of time with family and everyone is just a little nicer to each other. I also love all the pretty decorations and twinkling lights that go up. Everything just seems magical at this time of year. Tell us what it is that you love about the holidays!! Last week was Thanksgiving Week and I don't know about you all, but I had a great week off!! I went and saw my neice and nephew in the "Nutcracker" on the first weekend in Oklahoma. Then my sister and her family came here and we were on the go constantly!! I was wondering though..........what did you do over your Thanksgiving break???
