 Chuck Close  Chuck Closes Model  Chuck Close was born on the 5th of July 1940 Washington Monroe . Chuck Closes dad died when he was 10. He started painting when he was only 5.After studying in Vienna he moved to New York. In 1988, Chuck Close suffered a collapsed spinal artery which left him almost paralyzed.
