Field Day

Article posted May 17, 2010 at 05:51 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 993

I think field day was alot of fun because I got to be captain and show actuall team spirit. I had a little fun because I felt the oldest for once and got to tell the rest what to do :) We had alot of teamwork and I was put with my bestie, so I could enjoy it more, not being with some random person I don't even know his name.

What I didn't really like about field day is that when it came to play soccer and american football, some boys kept passing to the same people and others were just standing in the sun dumbly. So there wasn't much teamwork, but boys will always be boys.

I still taste the ice cream in my mouth.

Before the Summer Starts

Article posted April 19, 2010 at 05:43 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 234

Before the summer starts,

We'll get the sunscreen ready

The towels and swimsuits

So everything's steady

We'll pack our bags,

put books away

we'll want to get ready

for every day

We'll say goodbye

to friends and teachers

The classes, supplies,

and our gym bleachers

we'll sniff and cry

and even weep

we go home sad

and cannot sleep

The days pass by

and summer ends

We don't want school

So we'll just pretend. ☼☼☼

WAITING FOR SUMMER...☼

The Real Home Sweet Home

Article posted April 19, 2010 at 05:40 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 196

I escaped from a place

called school

Now

I ended up

with two

of my favorite people

in a place

filled with

tall green trees

buzzing bees

lots of grass

doors of brass

It was my almost house

and the breeze was

making a noise

swish swish

and into my hair

it brushed it

and I felt the earth

thump thump thump

and it would make

me feel

as if

It was not house

But home

Sweet home ♥

رحلتي الى الرملية

Article posted March 17, 2010 at 07:13 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 302

Pre-show Jitters

Article posted February 19, 2010 at 06:20 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 339

It’s about two hours before my concert, but I don’t have any jitters. At least not right now. But usually, right before the concert, you start to feel something, exited, but nervous. I’m in choir, so I’m used to performing in front of people. Once I come on stage, you feel like a jumping bean, and tons of thoughts join your mind. But in the middle of the show, you start to think that it’s exactly like singing to yourself. In the beginning you think it will start out a mess, but then everything goes by smoothly. J

Anyone snore glored from winter ? I'm really sick of the weather changing at the speed of light, can't the sun just stay up ? I know were still in January, and you'd think I'm crazy dreaming about summer at a time like this. Don't you miss the sun ? Don't you miss the beach ? Don't you miss the sun burns ? Don't you miss your flipflops and shorts ? Comment if you agree !!!

Sad anyone ?

Article posted January 13, 2010 at 05:37 PM GMT0 • comment (2) • Reads 461

I'm really sad  because, after all, Ms. Waite is gone. I couldn't imagine a better counselor, and there she went. It was nice to have her for a while though. Having her as someone to be there was a really great oportunity for me and alot of other people to. She felt like part of our class. She went camping with us, she taught us lessons, she was like our second teacher. I'm sorry for her because her dog was feeling very sick and bad, so he just got put to sleep. I hope she has fun at her new job at Texas, and I hope she reads this.

You rock Ms. Waite =http://

Finally, Ms. Beezers, also known as Ms. Branch, is back. We've spent our first three days after break without her. She was in Seattle. Ask me, I think those were the longest three days of my life. If you'd ever have Ms. Beez as a teacher, you can relate to me. :)

WE ALL MISSED YOU SO MUCH MS. BRANCH !!!

دير القمر

Article posted December 14, 2009 at 07:22 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 356

Thankful

They’re thankful for their nice times

Not thankful for tears and sad

But I’m grateful for my good times

And grateful for my bad.

I’m thankful for my good times

The mistakes I still regret

But I’m thankful for my bad times

Learned lessons I can’t forget.

I’m thankful for the world

For everything I see

I’m grateful for the grass and plants

For every passing tree.

I’m thankful for my friends

Grateful for family

I’m thankful for the people

Grateful for you and me.

I’m thankful for the stars

Who shine bright one by one

I’m thankful for the moon

And grateful for the sun.

They’re thankful for their nice times

Not thankful for tears and sad

But I’m grateful for my good times

And grateful for my bad.

Our Camping Trip

Article posted October 15, 2009 at 02:03 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 247

I am so lucky to be in fifth grade! If you've always dreamed of going camping, and your mom thought it was "gross", welcome to fifth grade! We got to go camping and had the time of our lives. We had a campfire, we learned how to make paint out of rocks and water, but mostly, we learned what it's like to live with nature. This year grade five was lucky because we went camping in Deir El Kamar ( a mountain ) instead of the 3rd grade playground. We got brand new tents, but  don't forget to pack you're sweater because at night IT'S BELOW FREEZING!!!! Almost nobody slept at night because of the cold, but no one let anything get in their way of having fun. We saw how pretty it is up there and blended in with animals and bugs, and we saw how pretty the night sky and sunset is. The weather is beautiful over there, and we breathed in the fresh, cool air. It's too bad that its over and I'm hoping to do it again in the spring or something.

Ms. Beezers

This year, I turned out to be in 5D. Ms. Branch, or how I know her-Ms. Beezers, is in my opinion a great teacher. She is so nice and she is always the first one to laugh at appropriate times. I love the fact that she lets you call her Ms. Beezers, and that she calls me SU. She has a great sense of humor and she simply rocks!

I am really looking forward to going camping this year! I've always wanted to experience living with animals and outdoor times. Although there are no bathrooms and things like what we have now, it's still going to be a fun place to be with all my friends!

A joke

Article posted October 1, 2009 at 03:27 PM GMT0 • comment (3) • Reads 263

There was once a coloured man who had entered a place only for white people. So, he ran into a white man and the white man told him:

"Coloured people are not allowed in this area, so get out!"

So the coloured person replied:

"When I am sick I'm black. When I am happy I'm black. When I am sad, I'm black. When I am hot, I'm black. When I am cold I'm black. But when you are sick, you're green. When you are happy you're pink. When you are sad you're blue. When you are hot, you're red. When you are cold, you're white, and you call me coloured!"

A poem called Sick

Article posted September 16, 2009 at 05:23 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 353

Sick
"I cannot go to school today,"
Said little Peggy Ann McKay.
"I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash and purple bumps.
My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,
I'm going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I've counted sixteen chicken pox
And there's one more--that's seventeen,
And don't you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut--my eyes are blue--
It might be instamatic flu.
I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I'm sure that my left leg is broke--
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in,
My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,
My 'pendix pains each time it rains.
My nose is cold, my toes are numb.
I have a sliver in my thumb.
My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,
I think my hair is falling out.
My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,
There is a hole inside my ear.
I have a hangnail, and my heart is--what?
What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is. . .Saturday?
G'bye, I'm going out to play!"

I thought that the first week of school was so much fun. I have a great teacher and great friends. I enjoyed all subjects as in art, P.E., computer, etc... and I also felt that I did well in math and writing and things like that. So far, it’s a piece of cake!!!

A poem called "Us"

Article posted September 14, 2009 at 03:55 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 218

Us

Me and him, him and me
we're always together,
as you can see.
I'd wish he'd leave
So I'd be free
I'm getting a little bit
tired of he,
and he may be a bit bored with me.
On movies and ladies
we cannot agree.
I like to dance
he loves to ski.
He likes the mountains,
I love the sea.
I like hot chocolate,
He wants his tea.
I want to sleep
he has to pee.
He's meaner, and duller
and fatter than me.
But I guess there's worse things
We could be-
instead of two we could be three!
me and him, him and me.

So far, I think Ms. Branch is a great teacher. She always jokes with us, but then she knows when we have to get serious. She's really sweet and her stories are hilarious. She never gets mad and she has a great way of teaching things to us in a way we understand. She rocks!!!
