Monster Story

Article posted December 7, 2009 at 08:41 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 1113

There once was a boy who had a cat called Jake. Jake had his own closet with all his clothes. Anyway it was time for bed. The boy’s name was Jack and Jack got his pyjamas on and Jake went in his closet and opened the door and put his pyjamas on and left his closet and forgot to shut the door.

They had a good sleep and then Jake had a dream. He was playing chase with Jack outside. Jake was a talking cat, that’s what made him. Jake was talking to Jack about himself.
Jake said, “I am a two year old cat. I love to play chase outside and my favourite colour is grey because my fur is grey.”
They were playing around and he got all muddy and went into his closet to get some clothes. He turned the corner and froze in fear when he saw a large face right in front of him. The creature looked like a monster. It was huge and hairy. Two large, yellow eyes stared at him. It had large pointed ears that twitched and sharp teeth with fangs on each side. The beast bared its teeth and took a step forward.

Then Jake screamed really loud so the whole neighbourhood could hear. Then Jack came running inside and said, “What’s the matter?” Jake pointed at the monster and then Jack screamed. Then the monster said, “Hello. My ears are starting to hurt here.”
Jack and Jake ran away and the monster started following them. They ran outside and the monster said, “So what are we playing?”
Then they said, “Catch. What is your name and what are you?”
The monster said, “My name is Impulsion and you are right. I am a monster.”
“What are you doing here?”
“Well I want some clothes and the closet is full of clothes.”
So Jake, Jack and the monster talked for a long time and they became friends, in fact, best friends and they walked back inside and played.

Monster Project

I'm working with Lilli and we're making the lips and the hair. I am doing the lips. My problem was putting the paint in the right place so the teeth that Ben are doing don't go into the blue paint. I solved the problem by ruling lines lightly to where I have to paint up too.

Maths Or Reading

Article posted October 21, 2009 at 10:20 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 2147

I think maths is more important because if you want to be a scientest when you grow up then you have to know your maths and if you want to be a mathmition you defintaly have to know your maths. But you also have to know how to read. Maths is still the most important to me.

The School Holidays

Article posted September 29, 2009 at 11:43 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 294

These school holidays I went to my Nana's house in Orewa. On the first week on Tuesday my brother (Leigh) went to Christchurch to see our cousins Jamie and Alex. They are both girls so Leigh wil have to put up with that.Nana took me and Leigh to the airport where Leigh had to take all his stuff out of his pockets to check to see if he had anything that he shouldn't have. Then he hopped on to the plane. Leigh has been on a plane befor but it was a little one that could only fit four people on and it belonged to my dad's work boss so he was so excited. Leigh left from the airport on the plane and it took him 1 hour to get there. He rang us and said it was a good trip but it had a bumpy landing.I am at my Nana's for the first week and we have had so much fun. We went to the beach we went to the hair dressers and Leigh got his hair cut. On the radio this morning they said that there would be a big wave at the beach because Samoa had a humungus earthquake and we went to see the big wave but it didn't happen.I have been seeing my friends next door to Nana and we have been playing around. Next week on Monday I will be going home back to Te Awamutu to see mum. It will the last week of the holidays so I can rest and back to Leigh antagonising me and mum. I had a very busy holiday!!!
The End

Where we live

Article posted September 3, 2009 at 11:37 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 431

The Livewires live in the North Island in New Zealand. We live in the Waipa District where it is peaceful, quiet and there’s not much traffic and there’s lots of green grass.
Fourteen Livewires live on a farm and ten Livewires live in a town. In the North Island there are lots of dairy farms. Dairy farms are farms that have cows that produce milk, cheese and butter. There are also some kiwifruit, maize and beef cattle of the farms. The milk from a cow goes to a dairy factory to make cheese, butter and milk. Kiwifruit are sometimes grown on a dairy farm. There is maize on dairy farms, as well there are beef cattle there.
The Fonterra Dairy Factory is in Te Awamutu. In Te Awamutu and Kihikihi the population is about 10 000.
These are some small mountains Pirongia, Kakepuku and Maungatautari. They are extinct volcanoes. Maungatautari is a bird sanctuary with a 50 km fence to stop pests like possums, stoats, ferrets, cats, dogs, rats and mice. There are lots of trees at Maungatautari for the native birds.
