Read the article Weather stalls oil spill cleanup. You are a reporter for The Beaumont Enterprise Newspaper. The senior editor has given you the assignment to write a follow-up report on the oil spill disaster that has just happened off the Gulf Coast of Texas. The editor wants you to report on these points:
- Are there any animals dying?
- What animals have been rescued?
- What are volunteers doing to help the animals survive?
- Will the surviving animals be able to return to their ocean homes?
- What has been the effect on ocean plant life?
- Have any other ecosystems been affected?
You will need to use the information from your research about the ocean biome and food chains to draw conclusions and predict the effects of the oil spill. You will be creating a news story that will build on the news article Weather stalls oil spill cleanup.
