 I am From I am from a divided country, in both good ways and bad. Good, for its different cultures and ways of life, but bad for the differences between poor areas and rich ones. Good, because of its splendid greenery and beaches, but bad because of its polluted air and sea. I am from a country that is considered dangerous to live in, although I can never imagine myself leaving it after spending my childhood here. I am from a country that has taught me how to ride bikes on narrow roads, and how to speak three languages fluently, and that lets me imagine how it can improve in the future. I am from a multi-cultural school attended by children from all over the world. I am from a school whose teachers have taught me how to read, write and most importantly, become a more confident person. I am from a school which teaches me the values of responsibility, respect, tolerance and empathy. I am from a family which I am truly thankful for because of its mixed religions, which makes me lucky to celebrate different holidays such as Christmas and Ramadan. I am from two parents who have different talents and jobs which I have learnt from: artistic, musical and academic. I am from a father whose voice always soothes me and teaches me patience and acceptance of others. I am from a mother who is a model of standing up for one’s rights and sticking to one’s principles. I am from a God who has given me the opportunity to make the most of the life I have been lucky enough to have.
