Riding Freedom
Charlotte was a girl that lived without her parents in the 18 hundreds. Her parents died in a stage accident. She was stuck working in an orphanage. She had a horse called Freedom and a best friend called Hayward; she also had a friend called Vern. Her life in the orphanage was unfavorable so she plotted a runaway. She cut her hair so no one would know that it’s her, so they would think she’s a boy.
She ran away and started working in a stable for a guy called Ebineezer. One day she was getting ready to drive the stage when she saw Mr.Milkshark (the orphanage keeper) riding on the stage. She got her revenge on him by tricking and taking his new shoes and giving them to Ebineezer.
She stayed working there until she was 18, then she got a job offer in California, and she took it. She went to California and it was crowded with people from the Gold Rush. Then one day a wild horse kicked her right eye and she lost the sight in it. It took her sometime to drive again but she was determined to do it and she did. After she had enough money to buy a house or land like she and Hayword always dreamt of, she bought one, but later she realized that the dream isn’t done without Hayword.
One day Hayword visited her in her house. Charlotte (Charley) told him that she entered in the election. Then Hayword told her that Vern had died. Charlotte was surprised. The next day Charlotte went to vote.
Later, Charlotte got two new horses. She called the girl Freedom and the boy Vern’s Thunder.

About the Blogger
I am 11 years old and in 5C. My favorite show is Scrubs. I was born in 1996 and for some reason I am still in fifth grade. I've been living in Beirut since 2005, which is 3 years. I used to live in Saida and I still go there every week. I miss living there and the worse part is that all my relatives live there, and I barely see them.
