 Friday Writing I hope that you've all had a great week at school. My grade fives were busy working on a provincial writing assessment this week. I bet they're glad that it is finished. They had to choose a writing prompt, brainstorm ideas, plan, write a draft, edit and revise then write a final copy. It was a lot of work! Your writing assignment for today isn't going to be as complicated as the grade five's was. It's been raining quite a bit where we live. This morning it was absolutely pouring and there are huge puddles that look like small lakes on the roads where the storm drains are plugged. My question for you is what do you like to do on a rainy day? I like when it's rainy on the weekend because my favourite thing to do is to make a pot of tea and read. When my children were young we would watch movies, play board games or play cards. It's also nice to have a nap when it's rainy. Those are some of my rainy day things to do.
