Main Characters of Hothand
The main character from the book Hothand by Mike Lupica would be Billy. Billy is a boy who is twelve years old and loves to play basketball. Billy's parents have separated. Billy's dad coaches for Billy's team, but Billy doesn't like that very much. Ben is Billy's little brother. Ben loves to play the piano just as much as Billy likes to play basketball. But one day Billy's mom is out of town with her job for a couple of days and Ben has piano practice but he doesn't go. When Ben gets home Billy asked how it went and Ben was just played along like he went. But Ben told Billy not to tell his mom about him not going to piano practice. But Billy has his own problem with his dad coaching the team to worry about Ben not going to piano practice. Billy's team is undefeated and then Billy thinks that he can just go out and not try when they are playing just because they are undefeated. But when Billy goes out and every time he got the ball he just shot no matter where he was. Billy's dad doesn't spend much time with Ben because of Billy playing basketball and Billy's dad loving the sport. But also Billy has realized that his dad doesn't spend much time with Ben also because Ben doesn't do a sport he has always been in his brother’s shadow. But when Ben was his big recital for the piano their dad isn't there because they had a basketball game. But Billy had the time to not go to the game and go to Ben's recital. But when Ben gets up there he messes up and because he's on a team he really can't blame anybody but himself to blame. Those are the characters of the book Hothand by Mike Lupica.
